I bought tickets to the first four concerts, but do not know if I will actually go to all of them. I just want to see as many of my Majicat friends from Shepherd's Bush and RAH as possible, so I left my options open. I have NO IDEA how far any of these places are from each other, so I will need to research trains not to mention my flight from the US if I arrive in one city and depart from another. Still - all smiles at the thought of seeing Yusuf and Majicat friends again!

Im going def to Berlin .. was thinking do they have the Eruostar to get from munich to Berlin .... should we wait for the presale from yusuf he might have the better seats saved for us redroomers? ? There are fast ICE trains from Munich to Berlin, Christina. I am waiting for the Redroom Presale. The tickets available for Mannheim are all 99 Euro as far as I could make out. If it weren't for Barney (crobarbie), we wouldn't know about this until now, and all the tickets could be gone before we even knew it. Thank you so much, Barney. And best wishes to all who are going to Germany. Of course, those of us who can't go expect full reports the morning after.

As you are a Redroom member you will be the first to hear about a tour via the Redroom E-Newsletter But that is clearly not true since there is news elsewhere about the tour and several of us have tickets already. Based on the tickets we have been able to get I would suggest you buy your tickets now.

I suppose you are right-there was not Redroom presale in Australia until Marge reminded them of the oversight:(. I will have to wait a day or two though as I am trying to synchronize with my German friends!

Regine & flottmann1 I do not know why & how we (some of us... me, Jane, Martina ...) were able to make our ticket orders yesterday, but we were following some kind of "hidden" (I do not know how Martina has found them) links which were here posted yesterday by her (Martina)

Just some information for those of you who will want to visit Germany in May 2011 to attend one or more Cat Stevens concerts Travelling between cities is quite easy with the German Railway system, Deutsche Bahn. If you book early, it is also quite cheap. ICE and IC trains are running hourly between major cities. Go to www.bahn.de/i/view/DEU/en/index.shtml. Train tickets can be booked 92 days in advance at the earliest. Cheapest tickets for any ICE/IC destinations (Hamburg - Oberhausen, Oberhausen - Berlin, Berlin - Munich, Munich - Mannheim) will each cost 29 Euro one way. Just book early, ie midnight German time on the 92nd day before your travel date. Cheap tickets for travel during the week will be easier to get. Try to avoid long distance train travel on Friday and Sunday. Friday afternoon is the busiest time with German rail. I would not recommend to book flights between these cities. You will save neither time nor money Alternatively, visit one of the major car rental agencies (Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt) and get a car for those (in)famous German highways without speed limit. Don’t forget to see Berlin, Cologne (the cathedral), the Rhine valley, Heidelberg (very close to Mannheim!) and Munich. Just my personal opinion. Of course, there is much more ... And get a decent beer after the concert. To book hotel rooms I would recommend www.hrs.com. They usually do offer quite some bargains in all categories. Beware of hotel prices for the Oberhausen concert. There will be a major fair in nearby Duesseldorf at this time in May, and room prices tend to triple or quadruple during the fair. I am neither affiliated with Deutsche Bahn nor with HRS or any car rental agency. I just hope that everyone has a good time visiting Germany. Enjoy your trip! I am probably going to see Cat in Oberhausen, Berlin and Munich. If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact me PM. Having seen Cat in Germany back in 1976 and 1977 and 2009 in London, and Yusuf in Duisburg 1996 (no music!) and London 2003, I am surely looking forward to these concerts! - It's been a long long time. Hasn't it?
