There was a presale for Shepherd's Bush and I can't remember if there was one for the "Guess I'll Take My Time" tour (anyone?) I wonder why they didn't do one for the Australia dates?

There was a presale for the 'Guess I'll take my Time' tour- I remember opening my email about 4 hours after its delivery and all the RAH presale tickets were already gone! Was lucky to get Bimingham ticket though. I suppose it was an oversight in Australia not to offer the presale. I think Marge reminded them about this last week on yusuf's site.

The Presale tickets weren't all for the best seats, not in Birmingham anyway. I was very dissapointed to be offered seats right at the back and decided to take my chance when they went on general sale. I got much better seats, 10th row from the front

That's a bit of a bummer. I guess I am spoiled - I am a member of Harry Connick Jr's fanclub (for a small fee) and I always get 1st or 2nd row seats.
I guess I can sacrifice for Yusuf though! ;D I'll take any seat they give me. Actually - this would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me if I got the chance to see him so I might consider paying scalpers prices - I hate to encourage it - but I think its even worse for seats to be empty. Must stink performing to empty seats - I would hate it if that happened to Yusuf.

Yusuf is new at this. He hasn't given concerts in decades, so he probably wasn't aware of those ebay scalpers at work. At least he is trying to give his fans first chance rather than having to be scalped in the wallet by these professional scalpers. Maybe, as he becomes more accustom to giving concerts, he will become more aware of them as Clapton and Dylan have been at their concerts. But for now; I think he is doing a great job trying to get the tickets out to the fans.

If I remember, there's an article somewhere, perhaps here on majicat about Cat in his heyday, buying tickets to prevent scalpers from grabbing them, Cat would then give them out to his real fans! Trust me, Yusuf is not aware of this.

Yes, I received an email yesterday offering the presale NZ tickets. I would love to go to see him even if it is in New Zealand. I do hope he comes to Florida too, Vivian.

On Yusuf's site is a webmaster reply to someone about tickets in Australia saying 'Watch this space' and Redroom members will be first to find out about any new tickets!

I wonder how the scalpers do it? And what is to prevent them from becoming Redroom members? I don't understand the process. Especially when there is a limit on tickets. Do they hack the system somehow and have several ID's and several credit card numbers purchasing at once. Or maybe they employ people and provide log-ins and credit cards numbers and give a cut to them for every ticket purchased? Does anyone know how it's done? Errrrgh - how frustrating for the Australian fans. I would cry. or work lots of overtime

Errrrgh - how frustrating for the Australian fans. I would cry. or work lots of overtime This is a shady business - I wonder if it's even legal. And if someone buys a scalped ticket, doesn't it create a problem when they go to the show? Isn't there something about proving you're the credit card holder who actually purchased the ticket? And if you can't prove it, you're out of luck. I know they make all kinds of promises on ebay, but I would never trust a scalper. If you can't get into the concert, your hundreds or thousands of dollars will be gone, and the scalper will be gone, too. This must be as frustrating for Yusuf as it is for the fans. Remember when his autographs showed up on ebay? Those guys took advantage of Yusuf's good heart and generosity. Worst of all, I wonder if he'll be as willing to sign autographs this time around - maybe he'll sign only one per person. Do you think there's enough time and enough fans for Yusuf to add more dates to the tour?

Yeah - I agree that the scalpers should be made to suffer. And I would love for them to get stuck with the tickets and lose money. But for that to happen - Yusuf woud have to have lots of empty seats. That thought is just too depressing for words.

I think I have the perfect solution for the future to see Yusuf. If Yusuf continues touring around the world, even if the scalpers try to sell the tickets, it will not matter, because Yusuf will be doing lots of concerts :)then everyone around the world would get a chance to get tickets and see him. The scalpers are out in force because Yusuf has not done alot of concerts and they know that his fans want to see him after all these years. So Yusuf we want more concerts, every year please.
