From Redroom new blog post 09/09/09!!
"I am contemplating doing some shows in the UK and the lightning speed things have to happen to be on time for the end of the year is highly challenging. The uniqueness of these hand-picked shows is the opportunity I’ll have to reconnect with my personal audience in Britain and introduce a special surprise! I’ve been working hard on my Musical now for almost 8 years; due to the complexity of this fascinating musical medium, the song-weaving and scriptwork needed time. Now, after so many re-writes and workshops, ‘I cant keep it in’! The four selected dates will offer a chance to everyone who may still be balancing on ‘the edge of darkness’, a glimpse of some welcome moonlight.
More will be revealed shortly, but we have started to audition a small cast of actors and singers and the Creative team are busy working out the logistics. So for those who are interested, keep looking moonwards… "

Not sure I like the saying "Hand picked shows"
that to me means it will be hard to get tickets.

I read this interesting blog, this morning Glaucus. How nice to see Yusuf still at it. And that he is interviewing singers and actors for his play Moonshadow!! May not be to far down the road now. well... Hopefully anyway.  |

Well at least you majicatters in the UK had the opportunity to see him back in May and other dates since and before that. So Yusuf, how about comtemplating visiting the "colonies" again if this mini UK tour goes well. Canada would be a nice start, especially since that Toronto concert scheduled for April never took place. You have many loyal fans here!  |

Yes it will be interesting to see what happens, but in his post he did sound excited which can be very good. I wish I will find tickets to his concert.

I'm ready for a second trip to London and my heart is already bumping since I've red this news this morning.
So let's prepare the next majicat summit :-)
Just last night I watched the collection of the you tube videos of this amazing Island 50 concert and those great feelings we all had came up again.
Helen and Megs background chorus was a very special joy and needs to be repeated "may I join you?" :-)
Looking forward to our reunion - sooner as aspected

Y'all are killllling me....aaaagggghhhh! I wish I could go! I think the hubby might draw a big ole line in the sand on this one.  I don't believe he would go along with me hopping "the pond" for a show!  Now me on the other hand.... ;D   You know what I'd do!!! Guess I gotta wait for the DVD to come out so I can relive my "cat night"!  I sure can't sing..I wonder if Yusuf needs some dancers? (can you imagine tapdancing to "I'm being followed by a moooon shadow, etc." :  But you know, hubby might go along with it if I got a job while I was there... Can't you hear that conversation..."Honey, I'm going to be in England a while. Gotta dance in Yusuf Islam's musical...." Ha ha ha ha ha! There I go...tickling myself. ;D Better go call my agent |

That's what I love about Majicat, everyone gets a little silly with excitment when Yusuf announces he will be performing again. Yusuf really knows how to bring the best in us. ;D I can't sing and I can't dance, I'll have to think of something else, quick. Credit cards, no, I get an allergy just by looking at them. Well if it is written in the stars for me to go, I will go, it's as simple as that. Anyway, the memories of May this year, are still very warm in my heart. |

This certainly is wonderful news. But if only I could simply whip out that silly piece of plastic and book every time Yusuf has a get together!!! Hairy will never allow me to spend that kind of money traveling "just for a concert". Now, if we were traveling anyway, and would happen to be in the general area, then, he'd go! However, if someone were to "kidnap me" and shove me in their suitcase, I promise I won't press charges!

Yes it's dificult to come from so far and much money.
I hope i can get the chance again because seeing him singing again like in May wonderfull.
This week they planning a action in our paper to collect points to a cheap ticket to London with the Eurostar with 2 persons .I'm busy to collect them you never now i can use it therefor.

Jane I can just see it now. Try to imagine this Jane. Yusuf is on stage singing, he takes a break and announces......, "we have a very special lady in audience. She has come all the way from Minneapolis U.S.A just to be here tonight. I believe she was here again in May to see me perform at Shepherds Bush. I have been informed it is Janes 50th Birthday today, so I would like to call her on stage, and we can all wish her a very Happy Birthday. Jane please come and join me on stage." Of course Jane you won't need me to do any pushing getting you on stage with Yusuf. ;D Well, after Yusuf sings 'Happy Birthady To You' Jane, he then asks you what song would you like for him to sing as a Birhday gift. I hope you can visualize all this Jane, so you can prepare yourself. Get yourself in that positive thinking mode, and you're half way there. I wish with all my heart it will be a dream come true. Jane with your previous luck, it won't be the first time you would have been invited on stage with an artist, so everything is possible. ;D I hope I will be there to be part of the celebration. |

I just got a ticket to the London show on Dec 8 - my 50th is on Dec 2 so it will be a month of celebration! ;D ;D ;D
Time to go soothe and comfort my bank account, and reassure it that everything will be ok...

I am sad, unfortunately, can not come by this appointment to London. I is already to be celebrated in the time from the 28th to the 31stth of October in London around my 50th birthday. I had hoped the concert would fall on this period. If one can make, unfortunately, nothing.

I was looking forward to attending the concert in london, but Alas! its 3 days before my university term finishes so I cant attend it. I am heart-broken of course but I am happy for those people who will attend them. Hope you people have a great time.
