Recent Forum changes

Hi all,

We are all new to this and I have been experimenting with code and, as per my moderators' requests, I have recently implemented a few changes.

Firstly now on the top header you'll find two new headings Majicat.com and Recent Sightings. Just click on each, the first will take you to the main website and the second, obviously, to the most recent posts.

You'll see, further down a Miscellaneous category. This category is for topics which will be excluded from the most Recent Posts so that these posts will be Cat Stevens / Yusuf related, not swamped by off topic issues. We had to increase the number of latest postings to 50 as, if it was 25 and 25 were birthday posts, then only 5 posts would show! I hope this all makes sense and makes the boards easier for all to use!

PS Just noticed that it all works fine except when you view a thread then those icons disappear! Investigating! Bear with me!

Hi everyone,

There are a lot of things we would like to do to the forum. Most of it, however, requires HTML code and they weren't teaching that when I was in college. If it required something like COBOL or even PASCAL, well, my old brain might remember a thing or two!

Many thanks to Chris for getting the ball rolling on some things and I hope I can figure out how to continue to add and change things to the forum.

50 recent posts, sounds good to me. There are times when some of us can't always get here for a day or two, so miss some of the posts. This will be a great help ♥
You are doing a great job, Chris and Jane, I know it will all take time, there is a lot to learn.

These recent Forum changes are so very impressive, Chris and Jane, as are all of your continuing efforts here at Majicat.

You are doing one, 'bang-up' (and that term, of course, means 'excellent'!) job... Kudos!

Chris, Jane, Gabi, Sue = "Best Hands"... We, as Majicatters, are truly in the best of hands.
