Hello.
I made a great discovery, from one Yugo forum, that Cat actually PLAYED in Yugoslavia in 1976! ( on his European tour)
You see, I heard long time ago from one Serbian person who has a great collection of concert videos of all the celebrities that played in Yugoslavia (Muddy Waters, Stones, Dylan, Macca, Duke Ellington, etc, but as any old fart with the not-sharing-hamster-like way of thinking - they're all the same in any country - he charges big money for it) , that he has a video of Cat in Slovenia (part of Yugoslavia then) - I said "no way... the guy probably mixed him up with someone else", and soon forgot about it.
Then recently I found new info from one Croatian forum, one member said that he saw Cat in Zagreb (capital of Croatia, then also part of YU) in 1976, and that it was a best concert in his life... so the man actually played here after all.
I'll be back with more info as soon as I contact the fellow with the tape - he's very close to my hometown, so it'll be pretty soon... stay tuned.

I'll ring the guy tomorrow.
It's a VHS, but I'll transfer it to DVD, of course.
For the cool guys of the Board it'll be free, for the rest of the folk the miserable price of 49.99 €.

Yes, he played 1976 in Zagreb ( Croatia) one day before Ljubljana ( Slovenia ), and it was great concert in front of cca 3500-4000 people ... with those magicians... he entered the stage from the 3 boxes (like you can se on Majicat DVD:) ... I was sitting in the second row... crowd went crazy after I think 2 encores, expecting a couple of minutes for the 3rd but... Cat did not come out for the third time, somebody from the menagement tnx us through the speakers.. told that we were realy great public etc. but it was the end... Great concert, not only fromt he fan's opinions

at least
:-)
because i remember all the fuzz when dylan was there in 1991, everyone was talking like such a big event for your country
then that concert was remembered mostly as "the last concert before the war"

anyhow, it's a shame that lof those celebrities weren't recorded... for instance, we had Louis Armstrong in Belgrade in 1959... Duke Ellington in 1971... Paul McCartney and his Wings in 1976...
