Can anyone shed a little light on this version of Catch Bull At Four? It was released in 1980 on Glasser records under the title of Sitting. It has the same track listing as the original. According to the album jacket it's Cat Stevens, but I have never played it to verify that. I googled Glasser and came up pretty dry so any insight would be appreciated. Attachments:

Hello brandnewman,
Gosh, I saw that album at a used record shop about 20 years ago. I thought it was a bootleg of some kind. I should have bought it, but it didn't have any songs outside of what you'd find on Catch Bull at Four. I remember the cover was interesting, with the female inside the cat's eye. I couldn't find any information about it back then. I'm surprised that there is no information about it at all today on google. What a mystery....

It is just Catch Bull at Four. I have the same LP. I don't know what happened, legally, with that LP - but it was put out on that vinyl, as well as in Italy under the Lotus Label (called "Silent Sunlight") and in Germany under the Platinum label (called "18th Avenue").

Wow, Dan - great information! Why do I think Richina has now added a few things to her "must have" list?

You know, I was kind of thinking of her when I wrote that last message. Richina - if you need photos of those LP covers to check against yours, let me know.

Hey Guys, It's not a bootleg, it's a pirated copy of the music. Before strict laws were put in place, there were companies who would simply steal the music, put it in a different cover, sell it, and then claim to have paid royalties to the artists. FYI, a bootleg is simply music that was recorded without the artists permission (usually at a live performance), packaged, then sold. I, personally, love bootlegs because I enjoy hearing the "between song" banter and the audience reactions to songs. To me it's almost like being there!! PS That album IS "Catch Bull", I listened to it. Some "pirates" even sound like they came from the master tapes.....wonder where those came from?? Seems to me like somebody working in a recording studio could make some pretty good money doing stuff like that!! These days, you go to jail for such nonsense...ah, the good old days. Look back in "Cat Memorabilia", I think I put it in there when I got it. Hope I helped.

And - as an aside - I do hope you have the Quadrophonic version of Foreigner. The last part of the Suite (Heaven) is a completely different vocal.

Thanks for the pics T!! "Silent Sunlight", I have......."18th Avenue", I do not (thought I did). What a great looking LP!! Again, I'm jealous of you Trotty! If you run across another one, would you let me know...or get it for me, and I'll pay you back?? I would lub, lub, lub to add it to my collection!! And the Quad Foreigner...got that, but never listened. I will now, and since that's my favorite part, I know I'll enjoy the different vocal!! I appreciate you bringing it to my attention!
