And very intersting comments bellow... a hundreds of them I have read these days on varius sites... the same old story (Rushdie & fatwa) & ignorance. Sometimes I do not know what to think about... for example someone in the 30-ies who seems not to have practice to use YouTube or simple Google search... someone asked (or speculate... ah, this word  if he'll come on stage in his "islamic dress"... and all that after a hundreds of videos on Youtube from Europe, Australia.... his tours in last couple of years. So, from mine perspective here in Europe... it seems that islamophobia and media propaganda in USA affected many people (especially in the context of past and recent happenings), but fortunately there are much more positive comments, not only in favour of Yusuf but humanity in general... I hope that everything will go well in USA. |

I find that when I read an article or listen to a song or view a video on youtube I have to refrain from reading the "comments".
Some people can be so crass. It drives me crazy.

there are so many things to look forward to .. Yusufs book, his album, the touring, the love, the merchandise table and meeting new friends at the venues!!!

Richina, I'm here, but have not been able to get online much recently. Have been extremely busy putting our house up for sale and moving. We close this week so things should slow down a little, I hope. It's just been non-stop. Anyway, I pre-ordered the CD and got the code for the early purchase. The December dates could NOT be worse timing for me with work; however, I am pricing flights and hotels to Chicago (it will most likely be Chicago) or New York. Although Roy's two nieces live in Boston - so there's a possibility, too. I better not get snowbound! I was going to risk going to earthquake country  - even though I promised myself that I would never visit California again - but for Y. I was willing to risk a little rocking and rolling (har-har). Then I read on a post that the Amazon code will not work for early purchase of the California tickets. So . . . it looks like Chicago or New York - Boston a distant third possibility for me. All of that is assuming that I can get good seats. I don't want to put out dough for flight and hotel to end up in the nosebleed section. I'm trying not to get too excited until I know that I'm actually going. Where can I get a good price on the night-vision googles?  |

My sister and I are thinking about San Fran...I have no desire to be anywhere on the east coast, or up north, during the winter!  I'm sure most of you may think that amusing, but I'm from Louisiana and we don't do snow!! The occasional ice storm sends us into a panic...couldn't you just see me in a big city, wide eyed, standing in 2 feet of snow, trying to figure out how to get from point A to point B?? Alligators, bayous, and snakes...no prob, but being cold, fighting traffic, and crowds...nope, I'd end up in an utter state of confusion! And, not to mention, dealing with a bossy little sister making stink eyes at everybody who walked by  ...doesn't sound like a fun trip to me at all!! Like Hyacinth, I'm not too thrilled about shelling out a grand for flight, hotel, etc.; to sit in the nosebleed section of anybody's concert! I guess we'll see... Since I last posted (about 2 years ago now), lots have changed , but I have keenly followed Cat/Yusuf and I am really excited to hear that he is touring again and I am happy to say that I shall be going to the concert in Hamburg. Who else is going? If anyone fancies a meet up in Hamburg before the concert, I am in Hamburg (been living for two years now actually).

Yusuf's Facebook page keeps saying that the inflated prices are being offered by scalpers who don't actually have tickets - that they're offering them on speculation. His FB page is also saying that the paperless tickets are not-transferable - since you have to show up with your credit card and an ID. So I don't understand how the scalpers can be offering these "tickets". I would be very afraid that it's just a scam and that I would be paying for tickets that don't exist. Plus I'd never pay the prices some people are quoting - not even for Yusuf. Does anyone understand how all this on-line scalping works? Anyway, I paid $190 through Ticketmaster using my pre-sale code for the CD from Amazon. I have a 12th row ticket for Boston. With today's ticket prices and being that it is a Yusuf concert, I think that is pretty good deal.  I've been sorry to see some "fans" lashing out at him on his FB page. I know that they're disappointed, but it's certainly not his fault if they couldn't get a ticket. Scarcity often brings out the worst in folks.  |

Hi Aurarisma, Wow all the concerts, I am really jealous ha. Ironically, London is my home city but I could not attend Yusuf concerts there, but Germany seems to have been very lucky for me in that sense; this will be my second Yusuf concert in Germany.I remember that two years ago when Yusuf came to Munich, we said we would meet up with the rest of majicatters but I missed you guys.But, lets not do the same now . Managed to get tickets for the Dec 7th show, although I had to buy single seats in order to get two tickets. So on the night of the concert my boyfriend and I will be trying to trade with those around us so that we can sit together. LOL Who else is going to Boston? |

So now I live in Boston and I've been trying to buy just one ticket. Impossible and I suppose it's now sold out!

My big concern are the scalpers already "selling" these tickets for $600 each. Can you believe it? Especially since it's a paperless/credit card entry purchase and you must have ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets. Very upsetting that these vultures try to get away with this especially since Yusuf specifically set it up to thwart the scalpers.
I was 'mckenzy' and am now 'mckenzy1' because pro boards would not accept my login and password, so I had to set up a new one. Still cannot figure out how to post a new message.. I think this will be in reply to another posting, though I'm not sure. Kind of baffles me, hahaha!
I really hope I get to see Yusuf here in Boston without having to spend a ridiculous amount of money to line some rip-off's pocket!

I just took a look on Ticketmaster and found a ticket still available for Philly. Keep trying folks if you need a ticket. (This was a floor ticket even tho' I searched for balcony. go figure.)

Hi, thanks for the heads up. Now it says No Tickets Right Now. More could be added later or maybe he'll add another night! He's free before and after this show. You never know!
Look at this ad on craigslist. I sent her a 'you should be ashamed of yourself considering Yusuf specifically set up these shows the way he did to thwart rip off artists like you' email:
"Myself and friends have two extra tickets together to the once in a lifetime show in the intimate Wang Center in Boston's theater district. We would love to have some of Cat's lifetime fans get to witness the rare North American concert. This is a paperless event, but we would escort you to the show as our guests. It's the only real way to be able to attend the show after it is sold out.
The tickets are in the balcony, row EE. We are looking for $500 per seat or best offer. Complete discretion and security will be provided."
Oh well, what are you going to do? I said I hoped she didn't find people willing to pay her “extortionate” price.

mckenzy1... there is a fellow on Yusuf's Facebook page saying he has an extra ticket to the Boston show he would be willing to sell to a fan.
He lists his email address there.
He's listing it at pretty much face value.

Just popping back in to say to also keep trying Ticketmaster. Every now & then it changes/switches for the various venues from something like "No Tickets Right Now" to "Only a Few Left".
I tried a few minutes ago and a balcony seat was available. It took several tries at various levels (best available, balcony, etcetera). I didn't purchase it because I already have my ticket, but it was there for someone who wanted to buy it. Not quite as good a seat as is being offered by the fellow mentioned above, but still...a ticket into the show.
Another thought is to try calling Ticketmaster by phone. Try to get a real human, because their automated system does not seem to recognize the names Yusuf or Cat Stevens. (I got all aggravated at their robotic computer when I tried that method. Those 'bots and I do not get along.)
