I listen to Dying to Live and feel the great depth and emotion. It is a wonderful song and most touching rendition.

Wow, "Gold Digger" is a great song, so fresh and old/new ... I like Yusuf's changes in his musical style, but maybe it will be toomuch for those fans who do not want him to change, who prefer his "troubador outfit" (acoustic guitar & voice). Ok, me also like this more acoustic part of Cat Yusuf, but I am glad that he is moving on, forward So, listen to BBC Radio 2 - Ken Bruce Show, and you can hear Yusuf's "Gold Digger" at around 2 hrs : 01 mins : 26 secs www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04gynzxWhat are your opinions about his new song? And, please, can someone of you native english speakers put / write down the lyrics of "Gold Digger" (including the background voise/lyric)? IMPORTANT!!!! One remark... I create also a thread "Tell ’Em I’m Gone" album in section "Album and Song Discussions" because it will be good to collect posts/comments about particular songs at that place, other threads we can use for everyday news about new album etc. But, if it is confusing moderators can delete this thread or suggest something else. Peace, Barney

This album is being slowly revealed- and it is going to be a shimmering pearl in his collection. I love all I am hearing.

Yes this definitely is new territory for Yusuf, but he has a way of making it his. I must be honest and admit I need some time to get ear tuned in to listening, but it is growing on me. 'Dying to Live' is my favourite but then I haven't heard the whole album yet. The interview was very worth reading too. Good questions different from the obvious questions he is always asked. Very interesting about about '18th Avenue', you could feel his running panic when he sung this song. Thanks for the link.

I've yet to buy Gone but am wondering if Alun Davies plays on it?

Sad about Alun too....but mostly wanted to say "Hey JoJo!, Hey right back, Richina - how are things with you? Hope you are well. It's really lovely to hear from you! Polygor, I do agree about Alun. I always read the sleeve notes from cover to cover before I even put the cd in the machine... my kids think I'm so strange, I should have some kind of treatment!
