Dear Yusuf, Thank you for sharing your music again with the world on your Peace Train Late Again tour and on your most recent album. The new music is fantastic and it has been a dream come true being able to hear your classic Cat Stevens songs again. You were wonderful in concert, giving your all and looking and sounding fantastic. May God bless you always. Thanks to your family for sharing you with us. I know it must have been difficult for you to be away from them while you toured, but I know you kept them close to your heart every moment. Many thanks to Yori for bringing that guitar back into your life, and for watching over you during the tour. Thanks to the band for their magnificent talents. It was truly an honor to see Alun playing at your side. Everyone in the band was terrific: Alun, Eric, Pete, Stefan, Matt, and Kwame. It was such a hoot to watch Kwame play: boundless energy and a smile I shall never forget. I wish you all much success and happiness in the future, and I hope to see you again some day. Also I have to say to Yusuf, for a fellow who did not pick up a guitar in nearly a quarter century, your playing was beautiful. Along with your songwriting abilities, your instrumental talents are truly a gift from God. Seeing your concerts for us was not "just another night", but rather a dream come true and now a cherished memory. A heartfelt thank you. Peace to you always, brother. ~Donna/ t4tillerman majicat.proboards.com/thread/4643/little-ditty

I quite agree with you, Donna! Yusuf's music has been a gift of great pleasure, and when he gave it all up by turning away from the biz, it really shocked us with sadness and pain, to think he would never come back to that world again. And in 1978, Back To Earth was like his "spiritual calling" with songs like "Just Another Night, Daytime, Bad Brakes, and the list goes on. And so he left us with a great legacy of interesting songs, that we'll never hear again! However, when he returned in 2001, during the tsunami, Yoriyos his son encouraged him to bring the guitar back into the house, and there it was, lying there on the couch! So, eventually, we heard Yusuf play his old Cat Stevens music again'
My Mum and I saw Yusuf last November at the Hammersmith Apollo, in London, and his voice was amazingly brilliant when he sang all his songs, both new and old, especially from his latest album Tell Em I'm Gone. I think my face on that is the song called "The Devil Came From Kansas by Procol Harum, in the year of 1966, when the Cat kicked it off with "I Love My Dog
I also have a musical talent, too, and play a zither, this is a stringed musical instrument, but much more similar to the guitar, but the chords have a vocative sound when I play it. Many years ago, it was played by Shirley Abicair, and once in a feature film called "The Third Man, so I play all the songs Cat Stevens, Queen, and many others too. When you hear this, you'll get a surprise
Take it steady now, and stay in touch
Peace, Tiffany

I am writing an assignment on the iconography of Cat stevens '76 concert tour poster. I was wondering if any of you had any knowledge to share that could help me with my investigation! Obvious threads of enquiry for me include the colours, the significance of the moon, club, and star symbols, the face in partial silhouette, and the beams emanating from him that suggest some sort of pseudo-religious connotations; enlightenment maybe? If you know of anyone else who i could talk to let me know! Thank you for your time Alexandra
