Hello to everyone. My name is Richard and I live in Mount Prospect Illinois, United States. I am 64 years old and a Vietnam Veteran. I spent many a day and night listening to Cat Stevens while serving in the United States Army back in 1969-1975. My wife and I were lucky enough to see Cat/Yusuf in concert at the Chicago Theater on December 9, 2014. It was a magical evening to be sure. He sounded simply amazing, and his band was great. I feel very honored to be a part of this website and thank you for inviting me to join.

Hi Richard! Welcome indeed! I'm afraid there hasn't been a huge amount of discussion going on on the forum recently. It's usually much more lively! Do explore the forum and its host site Majicat.com which I also run There us so much information there which can't be found anywhere else and it's Cat's oldest surviving fan site. The Majicat site is really more concerned with Cat Stevens as most items from his first two careers are very scarce but can be located there, Now Yusuf has emerged as a musician once again there is a proliferation of material available much of which can be researched through this forum.

I'm glad you had the opportunity to see Yusuf during his recent concert tour. I know it was a very special event for you, as it was for myself and many others here on the forum who were fortunate to be able to attend.
