Say, where have all my M'cat buddies gone? I, myself, due to on-going and pressing family concerns and emergencies, have been unable to dedicate the amount of attention I sorely wish that I could to the great and iconic Majicat. This surely has nothing whatsoever to do with the pure quality of the site, as our dedicated moderator Chris (also and affectionately known as "Novim") has continued his excellent and heartfelt efforts on our collective behalf. I hereby express the thought, and my fervant hope, that I shall be able to visit our treasured Majicat much more often in the near and distant future. And when I do, my further wish is to be surrounded by many, many (so very many) of fellow 'catters! In the meantime, I salute Chris for his selfless and wonderful work, here. I hope that you are all happy and well! -Bud

Hi Bud, A huge welcome back to a forum which seems to be dying. I am concerned for its future as if fewer people visit and post it will become a relic. It's very sad as, over the years, I and many others have met and become good friends with so many people. It used to be a devoted band of fans but I fear Facbook and Twitter are taking too many away from forums such as these. If you're out here guys, please let us know. We miss you! Thanks again, Bud for your kind words and support! This remains the very best site to find those elusive videos and interviews! Thanks to all! Chris (Novim)

Hey guys, good to hear from you both! I hope all is well with you. I still check this website every time I turn my computer on, which is most days. I don't do Facebook or Twitter, so I check in here, then read a bit at Yusuf's facebook page and on one other one (On the Road to Find Out) to see what's up in the world of Yusuf/Cat Stevens. This is the only site that I post on, since I am not on social media. You know the site does become busy when Yusuf has a project or a tour in the works, so don't worry. People will come back when that happens again. I used to post more often, but kind of held back after I noticed that some of the items I did post had been mentioned previously by others, often years before! So I felt like, oops, my bad. Other times I think of posting when I make a personal observation, like for instance the other evening I was watching a movie and saw a character that reminded me of Cat Stevens when he was very young, not in personality, but rather in looks. The movie was "Little Man Tate" and the character is the "Math Magician". He was a really obnoxious character but his looks reminded me of a young Cat Stevens for some reason. Lately I have been trying to reduce my time spent at the computer for health reasons. It's not healthy to sit hunched over a PC for hours at a time, although sometimes I do get stuck for hours researching one thing or another. Better to do some exercise or take a walk in the woods. The Magicat website is a great source of information, and I am amazed that there are still items that I find here all the time which I had never seen before, so I thank you all for your contributions. Today I did come across an item that made me want to post it, so perhaps I shall do so here, for your listening pleasure (PS: it's from 2013)... www.covermesongs.com/2013/07/they-say-its-your-birthday-cat-stevens.htmlBe well, and to Yusuf, Blessed Ramadan to you and your family. ~t4t/ Donna

Hello Majicat Friends!
I have a terrible confession to make - my computer crashed and died on me and I just simply fell out of the habit of checking this board. I promise to do better in the future!
I hope you are all well. It would be very sad indeed if the site ceased to have the huge amount of traffic and interest it once did, but I do agree with the others that once Yusuf has a new project in the pipeline, people will return. The trouble is, I think, that you are reminded of his news if you "follow" him on FB and Twitter, so we get a bit spoilt by that.
Anyway, I just wanted to check in and say hi and I hope all is well with you all.

Jo x Hey everybody...I'm here too, just so busy this time of year taking care of my yard, swimming, hanging out with my pets (4 dogs, 5 parrots, and my hairless cat) and trying to keep cool! You know it gets rather hot here in the south! I miss everybody too, but I'm sure as soon as Yusuf gets going again the site will pick up speed! You know we can't live without our Majicat! Don't forget Yusie's birthday is the 21st...just 3 days before mine (but he had a 10 year head start on me)! Lub y'all!

Hello, Everybody, Tiffany here! Hope this Majicat website isn't finishing forever, as my favourite singer still lives on today with all his songs and music, and I personally think that after all these years of being a Cat Stevens fan, now known as Yusuf, that this website should carry on. Without Cat Stevens, there would be no music to listen to, or renditions to cover. His songs captured a generation, that brought music into this world, and made us all welcome here. When I first heard Cat in 1972, a floodgate opened up with "Morning Has Broken, a children's adaptation of a hymn, followed by Moon Shadow, Peace Train and so many other songs.

Don't worry, Tiffani this board is not going anywhere. The Majicat Website will remain whatever happens to the forum. I am wondering whether we ought to set up a Facebook page for Majicatters. I think that maybe forums are not as popular as they used to be. However, they do seem to be better places to store information which can be accessed very quickly. This forum is a treasure trove of all sorts of things if you look at it carefully. Very best wishes to everyone still out there, Chris

Many thanks, Chris! Glad to hear that Majicat is still going strong, and just as you said, the board isn't going anywhere yet. But, thank goodness we're all still here at the moment, though! Anyway, let's all hope we keep this website going for a long time to come, as I'm waiting patiently to get on the air with my music, which I've been trying to do. However I've now got an iPhone, which I hope to get use to in the future. This gadget contains everything on it, such as Internet, Messaging and all kinds of things.
Keep listening up for them, they won't be long.
Peace Tiffany

So happy to know about Majicat still running up and going 'great guns' at this very moment, and without it, there would be nobody to run it, and as Chris said, the Majicat Website isn't going nowhere, whatsoever goes wrong with it. But, anyway, the website will always remain a popular one, and without my favourite singer, there'd be no Cat Stevens to sing to us. His voice was soft, smooth, and gentle, sounding almost in the form of Donovan, who I used to be a fan of. This site will be a treasure trove, to be remembered by everyone who loved him.

Well, haven't made any renditions yet, folks, but I'm off to France for a week with my family, so hopefully weather will be sunny and warm. But, keep listening up, now!Every Cat Stevens song will really uplift you all! Whether they're ballards, love songs, peace songs, or protest songs, every one of them will feature me playing on the zither, just singing solo's. The first number will be an easy one to start off with, my favourite The fist song will be Oh Very Young

Hello, Everybody Welcome back from Tiffany. Just been on holiday to Monte Carlo, in the South of France, and I had a lovely week out there, with the sunshine, but going out there, we had some thunderstorms. Now we are back to the autumnal weather, with Halloween coming this October, a couple of concerts to look forward to with 60s group The Fortunes, and Bob Dylan at the RAH in November, plus our Christmas this December. Still waiting for my renditions to be produced here at this site, so keep listening up! Oh Very Young is my first song to liven up the website. Stay Tuned!
Peace, Tiffany
