I wasn't quite sure where to place this. So, I just started a new thread. This is from Valerie, who cannot use these threads because of being visually impaired. She wanted to place up her thoughts of the Cafe Session DVD, which she just recieved last week or so..... Christine
Valeries notes on the concert:
Got the Cafe session dvd today-wonderful! I flipped out over the "Peace Train blues" and "Don't Be Shy" had me crying. There's such a heightened gentleness in Yusuf, it was there way back too, but it's the Spirit of God adding to his sensitive heart. I was noticing he talks more and seems more settled within himself. The interviews and his singing with just the guitar really make this a treasure.

It's true what Valerie said .Glad she can enjoy Yusuf's music ,tell her she is welcome and i hope she comes from time to time with her notes.
Christine is there a way Valerie can hear from Yusuf's activitys in the future ,it's always great to hear about him.Regine

It's true what Valerie said .Glad she can enjoy Yusuf's music ,tell her she is welcome and i hope she comes from time to time with her notes. Christine is there a way Valerie can hear from Yusuf's activitys in the future ,it's always great to hear about him.Regine Yes, Regine, while Val cannot view catstevens.com because of the flash, she can view Majicat and google for it's Cat Stevens and Yusuf lslam news updates.  |

I'm sorry for being so slow, but would someone kindly explain what the "flash" is and why Val can't view a site with flash, but she can view other sites? Sun, flash is a type of animation/movie/interactive pages. When you see a site that swooshes in, or is animated, taking ahile to load, they usually are made with flash. The visually impaired use a special brail or speech program to access webpages which depend on text. With flash, because they are movies and pictures, they can not be read the same way text can. I'm just happy that the Cafe Session is available for all of us to enjoy. |

Like Valerie, I just received my Cafe Session dvd [finally!]. I absolutely loved it, as I knew I would. How could I not?!  Peace Train Blues was indeed awesome. His band is so tight and completely in sync with each other and, especially, with Yusuf. One of the other highlights was The Beloved. The band truly excelled on that one. And, of course, it was wonderful to see Alun back where he belongs, so to speak. What a night! joni... |
