Greetings, I recently purchased a copy of 'Foreigner' on eBay for $0.25 + plus shipping of $2.00 ... an unbelievable deal. Imagine my surprise when I opened up the package today (coincidentally while I was watching "scrubs").... and found this ----> Has anyone ever seen one of these before? I must admit I like it much better than the usual white with blown-out black and white photo! Thanks for your help, mes Amis! Peace, kareema

I HAVE THAT ONE! I found it in a used record store in San Fransisco about two years ago! I was surprized as well, since before that. I have only seen the black and white one! Of course, I just had to have this one as well! Thanks Kareema!
Peace,Vivian ;D ;D

I saw this one at a record store in riverside and it was priced a little big high for my budget at the time...so I debated getting it but I kept going back to the record store to look at it...then one day I went see it and it was gone. Good to see that someone other than me is appreciating it but I regretted not getting it at the time. Thanks you so much for the picture...I wonder what the story is behind this album.
bessings to you, -anwar

Wow, in color. I have never seen that before. Oh that is gorgeous...that pic that is. Tell me, Kareema, did it have the insert of the polar bear sketch and the postcards in it as well? When I first bought "Foreigner" the painting and postcards were included. The second time I bought it, it didn't have them. :*( Love, A'isha

Greetings,
yes, the inserts are there too.
I had a white Foreigner in the Days of Yore and I think that the polar bear card was say 4"x6" and a separate entity. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
In this album, the lyrics are printed on one side and the polar bear is on the other... the entire piece is made to just fit inside the jacket and is on heavy pasteboard. There is one postcard.. the beach and hammock scene.
I'd like to know the history of this alternate cover... the printing on the spine reads 1973 A&M Records... so it is not a knock-off.
Perhaps I'll email this to Shirley.
Peace, kareema

Yes, those are the same inserts Kareema, but I vaguely remember two postcards. Maybe my old age is blocking my clear memory. Love, A'isha

I found that same baby blue Foreigner album this past summer at a used record store in New Orleans. I was thrilled to find it, as I know it's pretty rare. It cost me only $8. Obviously I did NOT hesitate to pick THAT sucker up. Yes....... sweet indeed. And yes, the colour photo sure is something else. Very nice.
