Why is Yusuf so connected to September/October? Have you noticed how connected Cat is to these months? October 1st 2000 - Behind the Music October 2001 - the boxset was released October 16th 2001 - Peace Train sung at the Pre-show Now the announcement of a possible Broadway Play? And it is almost October ?

We can ask A'isha, but the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that Ramadan is coming up in November...
It's pretty difficult to be globe-trotting while fasting, since it wouldn't be easy to keep track of the correct sunrise and sundown times, etc.
Not to mention that Br Yusuf is devout and most likely would go to the mosque every night for the special prayers called Tarawi'h... they are very long and take all evening and are to be prayed in congregation.
It takes a lot out of a person to fast all day for approx a month and still go about all the everyday responsibilites, especially since fasting includes drinking no liquids as well as eating no foods.
Br Yusuf would be an old pro at this by now, however I remember how wiped out I was last year....
Ths may be far-fetched, however it's the first thing that popped into my head.
What play?
May we all find peace.
Kareema
PS I would like to apologize to you guys here, I didn't intend to create such a big stir and was truly unaware about the 'posting copyrighted material from another site' problem. I didn't understand that plain old posts were copyrighted material. I just wanted to stop the attacks on Br Yusuf and Vivian.

What you said about Ramadan makes sense Kareema. Yes, it does seem like a time for being a little closer to home.
Interesting question Christine. It may also have something to do with the school year cycle. A new school year, end of summer, etc still seems to signal a fresh start, taking on new projects, renewed enthusiasm...at least for me. Even though I'm not a student I think it's ingrained in me after so many years..plus I get absorbed into my son's routine and priorities.

p.s..Kareema, I saw some people comment on the copywrite issue and I am geuinely curious about this myself. Somehow I'm having a hard time believing that it could be a violation of copywrite to copy and incorporate an individual post on a BB into another post on another BB, esp when you give the reference from where it comes. I don't see the distinction here to incorporating a paragraph from a book, as a reference, into another book or article. Obviously that's permissable and done all the time. Think I'll ask the librarian at work or maybe one of the legal people. I'm just curious/interested in how these things work.

I can imagine you being wiped out after fasting, Kareema! I get wiped out after ONE DAY of fasting! I fast for Yom Kippor! But, I bet for Yusuf, it is a BREEZE! He's strong! But the way he runs around, I just wonder: WHEN DOES HE EVER SLEEP!! Peace,Vivian

you could be right, I never thought of the ramadan or school issues, I was thinking more along the line of his Libra Risen in his birth chart. Thank you for the other ideas of why this may be happening.
Also Kareema no need to appologize, I just meant I want to keep this board peaceful with out the fighting that go on the other boards. So far we have not had those issues here, or any problems, and hope not to in the future. It had nothing to do with the copyrights of copying the articles off of other sites. You can talk all you want about the good Yusuf does or copy articles. But I and others do not wish to hear about the fights or problems from other posters from other sites. This above statement was not geared toward you, but everyone.
I appologize as well. I just wish to keep it a peaceful board.

Speaking from a retail point of view, October is a great month to get the goods out there--in time for Holiday shopping, which I think may have come into play regarding the box set & maybe VH1's btm(& the potential interest it would generate in his music). Hey ,Jen, I usually get a huge creative burst in Sept and I know it is related to the my old school days... I love to go out & buy new supplies!!

Christine,
I knew that it wasn't directed at me...
there are many new people who don't know me from before and it could appear to them that I was called in from afar to do the 'dirty work'.
I am not a militant, new people... I just atttempt to stand up for what is right.
Thanks for listening, kareema

Hi Christine! I don't know why his stuff ends up being released near the end of the year each time. That's interesting.. Perhaps it's just coincidence that it's worked out that way?

I am sure Ramadan will keep Yusuf pretty busy, not only with prayer and Qur'an reading, but alot of time is spent teaching the kids during Ramadan.
You know, all of us seem to have significant months or days which seem to be so uncanny when we look at the timing. I tend to have my best events on Tuesdays. I married Hamdi on Tuesday, Mary and Jamileh were both born on Tuesday and I heard I was born on Tuesday. And nines seem to have alot of significance and threes. And also years with sixes and twos in them.... Maybe September and October are Yusuf's months. He married in September and if I recall correctly Hasana was born in September. Maybe Yusuf is at a height of creativity in October. Autumn is such a wonderful time that it is no wonder.
And Kareema, I know you aren't a troublemaker, just someone who tries to stand up for what you believe is right. Hmmmm, sounds too much like yours truly...LOLOLOL
Love, A'isha

Yep Bluegirl...Sept is the month for buying new supplies. But this was the first year I DIDN'T have to buy crayons for my son for school. I hate to say it, but I was relieved...enough already with the crayons and the markers, ya know (?) I was starting to get worried that I'd still be buying them for high school then for college etc etc.....
Boy do we have ALOT of old crayons at home!!
