Talking of cover versions...I hear that the legendary New York "punk-poet" Patti Smith has started singing Peace Train at the end of her concerts. She performed the song recently in Berlin. Her version of Peace Train then Rock'n'Roll Nigger - she announced, "Behold people, the weapon of my guitar. The only machine gun you'll ever need..." - left the audience cheering for 20 minutes. As reported in this months Mojo magazine.

Thanks George, I find this quite fascinating. Patti Smith is not someone I thought would be a Cat fan. It is so nice to see that Cats music is getting to even the hardest of rockers.

Almost as interesting as Tina Turner doing one of his songs in concert, per old press..... Oh my gosh - I'm getting this very weird mental picture of the '60's Tina in her fringy dress, shaking for all she's worth, and belting out something like "Tuesday's Dead"!
