:)LOL !!and we wonder about you my girl!!!   Top Five? NOW I'm about to be really 'far out' and say that for me ...ALL things considered ...I can now admit convincingly, as such things cannot be taken lightly after all.. , and probably for ever..that 'All Kinds Of Roses' is my special one!!! well that is unless a new song.from the new album(s) knocks it off the top spot!!(no pressure Yusuf...)lol !! If I have an inner landscape then this song repaints it each time!!It's a dew drop sparkling like the diamond it is ,reflecting and absorbing the melting and fusing colour of mind body and spirit ...that explodes like a geyser,drenching and refreshing and on retreat never losing its vibrant ,yet peaceful calm, colour or form......  ......guess its simplicity just appeals to me ;D... (As the guy who played in the latest tour was billed Cat/Yusuf or Yusuf aka Cat or Yusuf/Cat and any other combination..I think I am entitled to choose as I have ..no era !! )so no Thwacking? ............ 8-)This thread was started in 2002!! |

I am with Christina on this one-there is just no way I could make a top 5 list, the songs catch me and move me in all kinds of ways, unforeseen. But I do agree that All Kinds of Roses is very special, very spiritual in its simplicity, very reminiscent of George Harrison.
