Here is a webpage where you can vote on the best cover songs of Cat Stevens. So far Dolly is winning. But then, there has only been 1 person who has voted. I was going to place my vote but my favorite cover isn't up on the list, which is Peace Train by Richie Havens. I am going to have to listen to most of these covers before I can give an honest opinion! But believe it or not, so far my fave Cat cover is by someone who isn't famous! It is our street musian friend who we met in London! He does a FANTASTIC rendition of FATHER AND SON!

Your quite right Vivian. I just recently heard a friends version of 'Into White'. I find myself listening to it almost more often than I listen to Cats own version. It's a wonderful rendition, Yusuf would really be impressed with it.

I have my friend's CD that has his cover of Father and Son! As soon as I have a chance, I will copy it and send it to you, as as the bit of video we took of him in 1998! He also does a GREAT MOONSHADOW!

I agree! Dave is GREAT! I LOVE his CD! When we get back from GAINESVILLE, Wednesday night, we go up tonight, I will make you a copy of our friend's CD! Alonso is GREAT as well!

Thanks Vivian, that sounds wonderful. I am also glad you enjoy Dave's CD. He is so talented. Did he give you one with 'Don Quixote' on it? He does a great job with Donovan and Gordon Lightfoot as well. He also gave me one where he performs alot of Hank Williams and I swear, he sounds as good as Hank did.
