Now who of you lucky ones would be so kind to buy a program and a poster for me? (...on my own expense of course...) I'd be more than happy to do that for you - consider it done

Thanks, Barney! Yes, Gabi convinced me to go. We had a delightful couple of days in Hamburg last year and I know we will have a great time in Melbourne (and Sydney) as well. They are cities that have been on my list for quite some time. Like Gabi said, it will be nice to see the stage and the sets from two different views.

This is not really a Catspotting experience but.... Last night I had the irresistible envy to watch the Majikat DVD, something I hadn't done in months. So I did watch it and enjoyed it more than I usually do (I'm not a big fan of that concert). When it was over and I was going to bed I peaked at the calendar and realise that we were March the 10th. Which is the anniversary date of the Majikat concert at the Montreal Forum 36 years ago. Guess I subconciously watch the show knowing.... or maybe not. Strange! Interesting coincidence, indeed, Glaucus! Oh, and I am also not big fan of that concert. It always disturbs me that the camera is looking up his nose most of the time. I listen to the audio all the time, though.

Doesn't seem legit to me. I would think a legit release would have a picture of him from that concert on the cover, plus the fonts used aren't anything like what was used by him back then. I also don't think it's the complete concert, is it?

Yes, I don't see anything missing, either. If you can send screenshots to one of us we can look into it, but it all looks normal to me.

It's not just down - it's gone. I wonder if there were too few members to warrant the time and expense to keep it going. Maybe he's just going to use Facebook?

It sounds as though you got the best price, glaucus. I got it for about $79 including shipping. I can hardly believe amazon.com has it listed at $156. They have to know people shop around.

I agree, it must have something to do with the pillow he sits on. He's just sitting with his legs crossed under him.... and he is not a tall person (that sounds so much better than calling him short...)

Hi, I'm back. Yes I have been to Efes restaurant a few times. I remember once just as I got there, they told me that Yusuf had only just left. Oh, Helen, what a bummer! I would have spent the whole time hoping Yusuf had left something behind and had to come back!

And Hasan Ibrahim Dogus Caliskan Restaurant in Troy during his visit chatting with Yusuf Islam, the family said they had a really good time and to London in the next coming of Troy Restaurant, stopping by again, he said.

Hi everyone,
There are a lot of things we would like to do to the forum. Most of it, however, requires HTML code and they weren't teaching that when I was in college. If it required something like COBOL or even PASCAL, well, my old brain might remember a thing or two!
Many thanks to Chris for getting the ball rolling on some things and I hope I can figure out how to continue to add and change things to the forum.

Dear, dear, Jon - I know you only too well to take offense at anything you wrote. For others who don't know Jon, well, look up some of his older posts. You'll see that he is a generous guy with a big heart who shared with me some of the best bootlegs I have. He makes a great point about the quad mix of Foreigner. Why NOT release that? Jon - you are missed here. I hope you are getting to enjoy some time with your little granddaughter Jane

It's a good thing I can laugh at myself because I didn't even consider that the book might be in German! The pictures will be in English, though, right? When amazon.de posts a description I guess I'll see what I ordered and cancel if necessary. I hope Gabi is correct...

The total price (including shipping) from Australia to the US is $129.77 - but I'm not sure of that is USD or AUD. I ended up ordering it from amazon.de for 60,21 EUR (also includes shipping) - around $79 USD.
At least I hope I ordered it ok. I may forward my confirmation email to Gabi for a little translation assistance!

As I posted earlier this week, I have been trying to figure out a way to reduce the available colors to those that are easily readable for all members. Despite hours of searching various sites on the web, I have not been able to figure out a way to do it. While some were upset that the forum was set to all black, I have heard from other members who appreciated the change. Hopefully a compromise will satisfy everyone.
The following colors should be readable for everyone: Black Brown Navy
These colors should be readable if they are bold: Maroon Purple Blue
Using these colors as indicated above should make the forum accessible to everyone.
Additionally, there are other colors not coded into the forum that should also work, but you will need to type in the color name to use them. The easiest way to do it is to highlight your text, select an existing color from the drop-down and substitute the color name with one of the color names below:
DarkBlue DarkSlateGray Indigo MidnightBlue
My earlier request remains as it was: please refrain from using the other, lighter colors for an entire post. If you want to give your post a headline or something like that, feel free to use the other colors.
Hopefully this helps and people can have a bit more fun with posting.
Jane

Maybe this nex box set news should have its own thread in the Cat Stevens section. Is it possible to move the last few messages? Just a suggestion. I will buy it for three reasons: 1- It's Cat Stevens! 2- The book 3- I have a confession to make. Believe it or not, I had to sell my THREE box set in another life for reasons that shall remain undisclosed. That was a few years back. I made CD-R copies of "Numbers", "Izitso" and BTE before selling it! And I never bothered to buy the real albums individually after that. So there you go. I'm gratefull for this upcoming collection so I can get the "real" remastered CDs of his last three albums. All great reasons, Glaucus. The packaging/presentation looks beautiful, too. Something that may be displayed rather than put away with all my other CDs.

Richina - I'm surprised you have room for the book with all that cool memorabilia you have. I hope I don't turn on the TV some evening and see you on Hoarders. I'll fly down there myself and save you!

I love the man with our without hat :-) But singing "King of Trees" looking like a forester - that's our cool Cat ;-) That's the reason for my adoration of pictures/videos with the HAT .... ...and this is Gabi's favorite picture of Yusuf with the hat - from the Hamburg concert we attended together last May:
