Wishing you much peace, happiness and joy.

Fingers crossed Richina! I think I ordered mine on the 12th, so you have a better chance than I do, but I live in a crazy little world where all things are possible. Who knows, right?

"How Can I Tell You" is mine, although it may not really be a heartbreak song? Richina - I am with you. I absolutely took his departure personally. It didn't take me 30 years to get over, and like you, I never stopped listening to or defending him, but I was a bit angry. It's good to be over it, isn't it?

You are too funny, Richina! You do have to be quick, though, to beat some of our fellow 'catters! Let's keep our fingers crossed that the elusive poster is included with this...

Thanks for the heads-up, Richina. The "Buy Now" button isn't working for me I'll keep trying, though and hope I get through.

Jane i totally agree with you ,i would love Yoriyos sings his softer music and rare you can't find the cd anymore maybe Yoriyos can aswer how it comes. Come one Jane up to London again i will be there to .hope everything is alright with you Regii Regii, Yoriyos actually discontinued the CD - so sad! I remember he said that to someone as he was signing our CDs. It is no longer available. It is not on iTunes and on Amazon it says "Discontinued by the manufacturer." Be sure to make copies of your CD because we won't be able to replace it. If I can, I will definitely come to London for another Yusuf/Yoriyos performance. My job situation is still very uncertain, but keeping my fingers crossed. I know I am more fortunate than many other people in the world. Hope everything is good with you, too!

YUSUF ON KCRW RADIO *LINK*This was transmitted on 3rd July 2009 Yusuf, mentions, that he hopes to be playing with his son, Yoriyos, very soon!!! ;D Also, Yusuf, said that he want's to go to New Zealand and do a small world tour, but not yet, as he has so many projects on at the moment. (not word for word, but you get the drift) Ooh, might I have to come to London again to see 'father and son' perform together??? I hope that means we will again hear a softer side of Yoriyos. I absolutely love "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" which sadly, is no longer available. I would love to hear more of that style of music from him.

Hi SS,
I am not sure what I did wrong - I must have been doing too many things and going too fast, but I did miss uploading 3 of the tracks. All 15 are up there now, including The Fisherman and How Can I Tell You. Enjoy!

I have to admit that I prefer the songs he writes for himself and his own voice. The only cover he sang that I really like is "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." "Long and Winding Road" is a possibility. I never rule out a possibility...

I have all the songs from this CD on box.net if anyone wants to download them. I paid way too much for the bootleg CD on eBay, and no one should have to do that. When this first surfaced a few months ago, many of us thought that a small donation to Small Kindness might be appropriate in return for having these songs, since these are Yusuf's songs, but not his CD. Please consider doing that if you choose to download them, and please do enjoy them! I was just listening to this CD tonight - it is a gem! Download here: www.box.net/shared/ct3drgty9uPS - I just realized they are not in mp3 format, but playable in at least iTunes that I know of. I will convert them to mp3 tomorrow and upload them again. Thank you so much for putting these up! Does your cd have a song called The Fisherman? I've never heard that song but I've seen it mentioned, maybe on majicat I'm not sure. I've got an awful fading monitor and I need to shake it sometimes to make it visible and by the time I see what I want to see, I forget what I was looking for! :/ As for making a donation to SmallKindness.org I happily gave my Christmas money to them in January of this year because my dad died before Thanksgiving last year and his funeral was on my birthday and for some reason, all I can stand to listen to ever since he died is Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam and it makes me feel better which makes me happy and grateful to the man who created the music so to thank him for helping me through this I sent his charity my Xmas money. Not that he knows it but I hope when he sees money come in from all over the world he knows how much he's loved. Yes, it does have "The Fisherman" on it and it is a great song. Definitely download all of them, though; there is such a purity to them that to me is quite special. I like the demo version of "How Can I Tell You" even better than the version that ended up on Teaser and the Firecat. I really like the way his voice sounds on the demo. I think he definitely knows that the donations coming in from all over the world are from his fans, and that we want to support his cause.

Vicki, not only could he not find true happiness, but I wonder if he even had true friends. I have to believe that his life would have been much different had he not been surrounded by people who only liked him because of his eccentricities, much like Anna Nicole Smith. True friends keep one grounded. Very sad.

I wonder if it is a larger version of what came with the deluxe CD/DVD? That also came with all lyrics and lots of pictures.

Regii, from what I can tell it's not going to be something the average person can go to... You know,"star-studded" and all. BIG TIME "invitation only"!! Anyway, my husband would have a stroke He already thinks I'm a nut over Yusuf!! ;D Oh well, if the "nut" fits...wear it! LOL Richina We're not average, are we? I would say many of us are nuts - and proud of it! ;D ;D ;D But I know what you mean. I'd go and hang out, though, if I lived in LA...

Boy, do I feel like an outsider...I haven't got the C.D. yet....I know..I know....I was waiting for the price to go down...here, in the States of America, the lowest was $21.99. I hope it went down a bit. The reviews are excellent. It talks about the old Cat/Yusuf, and, I like that. If you look at the 60's, he is one of a few that not only has survived, but is flourishing. Not just his music, but his humanitarian efforts. James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, just to name a very few, that are still making music, and still performing to both the very young and old alike. Greg. Greg - I have seen it as low as $9.99 - I know Target and Best Buy both have it for around $12.99. Was it the deluxe you were seeing for $21.99?
