Try searching Cat Stevens on the Dailymotion.com site. maybe your video is there (i know there is a bunch) Thanks for the tip! I went to Dailymotion, found this video as well as the complete 1971 BBC concert. Thanks for turning me on to a site I didn't know existed until just now. It has many wonderful videos available.

glad to help, now we only need good quality stream so we can put them on DVD . I always wondered why they never did a compilation CD of all the different little songs here and there over the years.

Granada 1971 TV set list: Moonshadow Where Do The Children Play? Longerboats Tuesday's Dead Sad Lisa Hard Headed Woman Father And Son - would love to see the other 5 songs. Here's your chance, then... www.jmcdesign.org/csyi/video/cat_stevens_and_friends_video_link.html I wish I had better quality footage of this, but this is the only file I've ever managed to find via various P2P services. (I added that grey-on-lighter-grey opening title myself...hehe.) The video quality does improve a tad after the mulched opening bits, at least. But for some reason the audio is atrocious - low volume and choppy. Ah well, better than nothing, I suppose. Now, who's got the footage that was used in the Time/Life Singers and Songwriters infomercial? Where he's wearing the royal blue short-sleeved shirt. Sort of a "Holy Grail" for me. -Joanne

Thanks Joanne, it was great seeing the Granada concert. As for the Royal Blue Shirt concert. I would like to know that as well. I loved that infomercial. I'd even be satisfied just knowing from what concert it came from.

I have only just seen this Joanne, WOW what a find, I think someone had taped this from the TV, maybe that would explain the poor sound quality? but still wonderful to see, Thanks Joanne, for sharing this. Now Yusuf, if you are reading this!!! How about releasing this Wonderful Concert on DVD, I am sure you must have the original tape somewhere in your vault??? Better still, how about putting it on with the Cafe Sessions from 1st March? What a DVD collection that would be! Or, here's another idea,( I'm full of them aren't I, lol ) how about all the old concerts on one DVD compilation? And the Cafe Session on another? I know all here would buy them! So how about it Yusuf, what do you think? Pretty please. SuzieQ

This is the first time I'm having trouble with any link. I've tried it through Netscape, Safari and Explorer. Each time it tells me to check the path and filename.

Welcome to Majicat, throned. That's an awsome YouTube page you have, and a great collection of Cat videos. Looks like you're going to be a great addition here.

Like many young kids in the U.S., I didn't know who Cat was until 1970, and seeing that video is a crackup. The audience looks so subdued! I wonder why we didn't hear as much of Cat back then, yet we were listening to other English groups and singers (Yardbirds, Herman's Hermits, PJ Proby, etc.)

I remember waiting every week for Top of the pops to come on so I could see Cat Stevens in 1966/67. Then when I became 17 I was then allowed to go and see his concerts. The concerts I went to in the 70's were not subduced at all. I remember then we had to go to the venue and queue outside for tickets. Sometimes all night, there were not many ticket office's then, if any.
I was lucky my Mother use to like Cat Stevens, so I was able to go and queue all night if I had to.Which I did one year in the snow.
