Great find, Sabina! Thank you for sharing it! "Diseases of the Heart" radiates the graceful, yet passionate confidence of someone who believes fully in himself and what he is preaching. I knew he could do it, but this is the first lecture I've heard where he seems to be speaking straight from the heart. What a difference (compared to the last one we discussed where he was stumbling over notes). Wow! I suppose practice helps too. And the Qur'an recitations are mind boggling. What an accomplishment. Does anyone know when was this recorded?

mm "diseases of the heart" occur when the ego (the ME ME ME ) which houses itself in front of the heart when it becomes so large it creates shadows and no light to shine on the heart .. if the ego drops to the size of a pea .. trusting in the Creator .. the heart shines... like the Creator had made it .. with the divine spark meant to shine .. ... and we are in alignment with the Creator again instead of just ourselves. m...... now how one does that is the Key .. and or perhaps their Key ... (only in my opinion) Praise God!! xoxo I think that this must have been done around 2002-2006 very early time frame .. ? I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing what he shares in a couple of weeks... I think he will really speak from the heart . and we will really hear it !!! xxoxxoxox joy to the world xoxoxvery nice talk he gave ... I've learned alot .. ty for sharing .. definitely I believe a while back .. I can tell in the voice .. and vibrations ..
.. ... EGO (greek for ME) is a sneaky little booo!!!

blossomGreat! Thank you so much for sharing. His voice in "Why Islam" reminded me of the "very young Cat", I don't know why. (so I guess it's very old) Amazing! God bless... I absolutely agree with you, Gzm. I have all the archives of audio/talk/and some very rare videos here in my files. His voice in this interview also reminded me from one of his early interviews. Yeah...quite same...exactly same to the very young Cat...(that's because its from 1980 i guess) that he became a Muslim 3 years ago. - if you can hear rightly/clearly at the beginning of the interview after the song of Bitterblue ...

Thanks for sharing! I listened to "Why Islam" and although he has repeated these stories, it is interesting to hear him as a recent convert - sounding happy and enthusiastic. Also, the interviewer was respectful and asked good questions. 1980 - Yusuf Islam talks about his late father - Posted on YouTube today by WildWorldFan pics from "Behind the Music" ? and the interview clip is from "Why Islam - Part 1" listed in Blossom's link above enjoyislam.com. www.firstpost.com/topic/place/egypt-yusuf-islam-talks-about-his-late-father-1980-video-QQibDTLaLxk-21-1.html

A fascinating clip, Hyacinth... Thank you! In addition to hearing Yusuf's thoughts about his late Father, I enjoyed viewing his family photos, as well. Quite a handsome family, and how touching that his Father called him "Yusuf" in loving acceptance. -Bud
