hyacinth Yes i know it .. I think if I had the chance to be there,I would have made them the moral.. These poets have been more careful with these illegal things .. I think that in terms of ideas on peace, they had good ideas but they were acting too passively .. Sometimes I think "where are all these"Hippy "?" Normally it will be the governors of todays, but the Peace Train is still not there .. What's wrong? they are anyway not all died of an overdose of alcohol or drugs?! They could have done good things Cat/Yusuf is a good exemple !

:)hmmm esraa......MY effort at answering the uncomfortable truth you state above..Life gets in the way of ideals for many as we get older...and looking around us we are totally overcome by the changes that need to be made, and can lose heart...but many try in their our own lives to spread peace and understanding,taking part perhaps in local issues..or choosing a career in helping others in some way...Not everyone can have a high profile like Yusuf, and indeed many would not want it...but people like him can inspire others....we need all sorts of people in all avenues of life to change things for the better...and many do so without recognition...quietly and with determination...I remember a person I met who was so humble but was really into volunteer work in their community...this too is trying to live the ideals in a simple and often unrecognised way...the 'hippies' are not all gone...!!they recognise that material possessions and the mainstream definition of 'success' is not valid for them...and many also are people of Faith...in whatever way....love each other.... take pleasure in small things..make the most of each moment..make time to be still and appreciate what is around.....and recognise the good in others........the flower is a miracle...x (and I know that this is not a photo of Yusuf...but it is.... metaphorically speaking!!) |

Hi all. I'm new here. I'd have to say I've never seen a Cat Stevens photo I didn't like! There's one I'd like to find though. I saw it on a now defunct site several years ago. If I remember correctly it looked like he was sitting at a pool. Anyone know the photo I am speakign of? Anyone know where I can find it? And, my last question: Is the JMCdesign site no longer up?... I can't seem to find it.

Sadly, that's not the one I was looking for. It is the first time I've seen this one in such vivid color though, so thank you for posting it. Seems to me that in the one I am thinking of he looked kind of young, like maybe it was taken shortly after he hit the limelight again as the new improved post TB Cat Stevens. It was kind of a close up, but I think he was sitting forward in a lounge chair and it looked like the setting would be a pool. Maybe someone out there knows the one I am talking about or maybe I just dreamed it : )
