About the 6000 persons if you know there are four concerts in the same country and times are not so good yet people has moneyproblems and that's the first thing they let ,concerts. Yes, you're right, but as I have read that concert capacity of Hamburg O2 Arena is cca 16.000, and the number of 6000 on Yusuf's concert seems to me like a mistake (because it will mean more than a half empty and on Eventim when I checked there were not so many tickets available the day before concerts). So, question for you who were in Hamburg, how many people were in arena?

Sorry, I didn't had an overview of all the empty seats in the Arena... but I noticed that there where a lot... So now as I'm back to earth (nearly) here are some informations for you The concert was just GREAT!! photobucket.com/CaTMoNiAVideo recordings were actually not allowed and they watched out that no one was filming (especially in the front rows). We had seats in row 2 and my friend had a lot of filming, but then he was caught during the first encore and at the end he had to delete all the videos under supervision A bit shocked I was by Alun's face on the big screen... he looked very, very old and as if he had no teeth Did the others also have seen that? Maybe someone took a photo... Before and after the show you could enjoy the Roadsinger Van and Yoriyos All in all it remains a very special , emotional and unforgettable night for me... and I wonder if I should go to berlin on saturday... (about his new super guitar he said btw: 'It looks better as it sounds' ;D ) Official Photos are online now :-) www.yusufinconcert.com/gallery.php?tourname=Hamburg

I think there is an Error with the weglief. I do Not think he did Midday last Night.
Boots and Sands Video is shown in the Middle of the second half. Yususf walks off for a Bit As they Play it.

You are right, he didn't play 'Midday'. Now we know why the first part was shorter than Stockholm, as we wondered already... To me it looks like he uses 'Boots and Sands' as a drinking break in the 2nd part?

The “Boots and Sand” break seemed weird to me. It wasn’t that long after the intermission which seemed too early to need another break.
The mention of “Foreigner Suite” on the set list is very misleading. He really only sings the last few lines of it before going into “Heaven (Where True Love Goes)” which, by the way, he does VERY WELL live.
Did anyone else notice that during “Road to Find Out” he sang harmony while Alun, Eric, etc sang the melody?
I obviously can’t compare last night to Stockholm, but those of you who went to Shepherd’s Bush or RAH remember how we talked about how happy he seemed on those stages. In my opinion, his energy at those two shows kind of pale in comparison to last night’s concert. I think he and Alun seemed happier than ever to be on stage together. I found myself watching Alun a lot because of how happy he looked - as though he was in his own world.
In short, it was Yusuf so it was fantastic.
PS - Gabi and Berthold were a gracious host and hostess to me in Hamburg. It was great seeing Gabi again and meeting Berthold.
I'm probably not going to be online very much - I'm not in any one place very long and I want to spend it seeing where I am visiting, but I will check in now and then.

Cameras WERE allowed, but if a security guard saw someone taking VIDEO it was a problem. No one was giving anyone a problem for taking still pictures, even with flash.

O.K. I know I'm being a little wacky now, posting three times in a row - no YouTube of Hamburg "Maybe You're Right". Of course, I did have to review the BBC 1971 video just one more time. Thank you, Martina, for another set of great pics. Thanks everyone for the Hamburg posts!

ha ha ha - Great Balls of Fire!! you're funny Hyacinth. We've had this clapping and singing discussion before on the board, with opposing views on both sides. In general, I think the majority of Americans do not want to listen to the audience singing, and the Europeans disagree - if i recall correctly. Though some Americans do insist on dancing. ;D

'and the Europeans disagree ' Hmm can I gently remind you that to encompass all the different cultures ,languages, disprate histories and countries into one ...Europeans.....is like saying that a snake, a porcupine and a monkey would all either clap or not ........lol I personally am horrified that I see on vids that people are even thinking of raising so much more than a sigh when Yusuf sings or speaks...but then I've never been to a concert before and don't know how maybe the mood takes over??.....Not long to wait tho!!YYIIIKKKEESS...wont be so high and mighty then will I? lol

yeah - my memory is fuzzy on the general outcome of that topic and I was too lazy to search it. I might be making the whole thing up?
Anyway - I have a strange feeling you are going to eat your hat young lady. I can just see you now... screaming, shaking, crying, singing, clapping, fainting, singing clapping screaming, singing, fainting. It's going to be an exhausting evening for you Sabina ...you'd better rest up.

I have not seen any comments on the very cute'three-generations-type' picture on Yusuf's tour site, yet. What is wrong with us? Reminds us too much that we could be (or some actually are) grandmothers/fathers too? I love that picture and wonder whether the couple on the bench next to them had any inkling?...

AND one other thing. No offense meant here, dear Europeans, so don't take this the wrong way. You have a lot more class than we rowdy, arrogant Texans, but exactly WHAT is the deal with the clapping and singing along? If I didn't know better, I'd think the concerts were a sing-a-long hayride or a hootenanny. When [hope, hope] he finally comes to the States, people around me better not be drowning out his sweet notes!! O.k. I'm looking on YouTube. I'm so excited. In the spirit of full disclosure, I also wish people would just shut up and let us hear who we came to hear, but I got quite a bit of opposition to that last time I expressed it. It may have been the videos, but at Hamburg I did not hear people singing along too much - only during Father and Son and Moonshadow. Gabi and I actually talked about how quiet and "well-behaved" the audience was. In all fairness to the Europeans, I go to a lot of concerts in the US as well, and we Americans are no better. Any clapping was actually encouraged by a couple of the guys on stage, so we have to blame Yusuf's crew for that

Just recover the data, it is still on the SD card. Please google and recover the data! Before you haven't done, don't use the SD card anymore. So it won't be overwritten, cause it is still stored there. ;-) Hope we can meet at the show!
