crobarbie-You always get to it first, don't you!! Were you at RAH and did you sit to the left of the stage quite close to the front? I was sitting in Row 8 on the floor and I heard a voice to my left calling for'Into White' and I remember thinking whether that might have been you?

Haven't seen anyone mention a setlist.
Moonshadow was now in the first half of the show. Popstar was not played at all.
At one point during the Moonshadow portion, the soundboard guy pressed a wrong button - so we all got to hear about ten seconds of 18th Avenue (studio version). Yusuf did not look too pleased, but he handled it well - joking about it later.
Slightly different arrangement of "Children Play" - drums joined in at the end at the "cracked the sky" line - like the Majicat tour in 1976. I always liked when he did that.
One other thing - a few of us have discussed this - but there is a slight lyric change on "Here Comes My Baby" - instead of "forever talking on the phone" he now sings "forever texting on the phone." Perhaps we should call it "Here Comes My Baby 2011" like the Police did all those years ago.
No hat this time for the second half. Only two encores - Peace Train and then All KInds of Roses.
Show started just a few minutes after 20:00 - was all over by 10:30.

The Puplikum in Oberhausen was not of my view after the not best one there a Jumping of the sparks. Therefore just 2 additions.

How many were in the audience, do you think?

Photos are online now, but no setlist yet. www.yusufinconcert.com/gallery.php?tourname=OberhausenI am now in a sartorial conundrum-had my plaid outfit for Mannheim all planned. But now it seems to be waistcoats and shirts are de rigeur. A look I seemed to have sported quite often in the 1980s. Unfortunately even if I had any of that wardrobe still left, it sure would not fit me!!

Yes, I am going with my best and oldest friend. I will go over to Germany to meet up with her in my hometown and then travel on to Mannheim. Have not got great seats, but heh-it will be amazing, I am sure.

Suncatcher - when 18th Avenue wss playing, he did say something like "Alan, push that" so it sounds like it might be the same guy.
I thought it was Davies, becuase he had a puzzled look on his face!!!

@ Sun -I think Yusuf sings "and a worshiper of God" instead of dancer to the gods in Angelsea.

A short comment on article "Cat Stevens alias Yusuf in Oberhausen" ( Google translate )
Plays a small review of the concert yesterday evening.
That was a great concert yesterday and I have enjoyed every minute - no question. But I thought it was unfortunately a little too tight. After less than 50 min, the 20-minute break, then again around 55 minutes and in the end only two songs encores. This I found somewhat disappointing. Here I had for almost 100 EUR per ticket already expecting more, especially because the public demanded vociferously for the encores. Especially the old songs are always well received and immediately lifted the mood.
In the end, the light went on and immediately usher the people driven out of the hall. When we arrived at the top of the stairs from the interior, the stage was almost empty. The Rowdietruppe put an incredible pace in the day. Then a solid hour, until the car was finally out of the car park and we could go home.
Nevertheless - as I said - a great evening! ! !

Was Yusuf a little bit dissapointed because of not full arena (see the Aminah's picture of a lot of empty seats in the upper circle). It looks like no one of his concerts in Germany will be "sold out"? www.yusufinconcert.com/gallery.php?tourname=Oberhausen

Looks like quite a lot of people to me!! By all accounts the audience was bigger than in Hamburg. Lots of people on facebook and on the German fan site give very happy and positive reports. Somehow I think Yusuf has grown up since the days of Greece 76. He knows people pay a lot of money for their tickets.

Wonder whether Yusuf knows he has to compete with Eurovision tomorrow night-very big deal in Germany.

Ok, but it still unclear to me why was concert in Oberhausen shorter (I only suppose that, not quite sure because nobody posted full setlist yet).

It seems that I was a little bit too enthusiastic because of Australian tour (@downunder perfectly explained the difference a few days before), and was expecting sold out venues in Germany, as it is/was his big market.
