Hey Everyone, Thought I post this video of Yusuf giving his views on why he is playing a part in the Peace one day. My sister and brother will be there to see Yusuf for the first time and I am very excited for them but very sad that I cant be there myself (After returning to UK last saturday I had to leave london for university) . Peace my brothers and sisters xoxoxoxo The Peace Concert was beautiful !!
I was feeling peace when Afro Reggae started playing loved it---thennnn.....this photographer pulled a chair in front of the first row STOOD ON IT!!!! and took photos and I misssed the ballet performance that was up next... I was not feeling too much peace then lol .. that ballet dancer came out and mesmerized me and took me to a beautiful land .. then the photographer papparazzi came and brought me to a gray cloud of this world lolol...lolheheheh anyway getting back on track here ..
It really was a peaceful concert !!! I learned so much-there were speakers mentioning their projected goals for 2013 .. and the talent was an eclectic blend of.. Afro Reggae , a few dance groups which were amazing .. Eliza, a cool singer Newton Faukner someone told me .. and then Razorlites wow they were very good too.. what a blend.. then....... YUSUF ...with his curls .. of course I had to mention that !! God bless him.
-very impactful powerful performances he sounded very tender and emotional on all songs .. really a unplugged beautiful set that he did ...I was in first row center.. a bit too close for me usually .. but I got a chance to see quite alot .. and feel alot of vibrations .. I had my rastafarian tee shirt on that says "every little thing is gona be alright" and when I wear that tee .. its a good feeling with my coach sneakers I was feeling the love flowing freely and peace !!
it was a beautiful concert and I'm glad I went!!! He was going to leave and I put my finger out and said one more one more .. pwetty pwease (just like everyone else and he did Moonshadow!! It was so nice for someone from the USA to come and support him .. He will always have that with me if I can make it .. x
May God continue to bless yusuf .. I'm feeling something .. dont know what but it was a heavy vibration .. His performance of Father and Son said so much .. deeep.... perhaps he is working too hard on Moonshadow .. or something .. oh there were these two young boys at the end the seats next to me were vacant for the last encore .. and they sat there and they had to be 17 I turned to them and smiled ... proudly that they knew good music and I think yusuf caught that they were so many young people singing his songs with him .. it was a loving feast ! oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo He did "Wild World" and guess how he started it  "LALALALALALALA LA LA LA LALALALALALALA la la LALALALALALALA LALA -- Yes he did and it was fabulous ! xo it truly was Peacecake at that moment!!
May he stay open and with that boylike bounce and may the Moonshadow Musical be coming along fabulously xo

catchem and peritura..ooohhh How I wish I had had this vid to show to my cynical groups of 15/16 year olds yesterday in discussion... Great find, thanks G-One. The show was lovely, even security was really caring! All v friendly! Yusuf was in great mood, smiling. But messed up "All you need is love", he went of of tune. But his valid excuse was he did not write that song! This makes him really a human being. I missed Ian (drums) but he is at rehearsals with Mark Knopfler. My next 'fan tour'... I did quite a lot of pics and will run through them later this evening.... |
