Hi all, was at the concert - it was wonderful. Just for info, you may know that these days Yusuf normally has a autocue of song lyrics being displayed, that he can refer to just in case he forgets. I noticed at this gig, that there was a guy crawling around during the first two songs trying to get this laptop set up and placed somewhere in front of Yusuf. It seemed to take a while to sort out, and must have been quite a distraction, so I reckon he did well to get through the song with smile :-) k@

Monika, I thought the same thing about his hair! I think it looks great! I don't see him in "full on curls" either, but I would like to see his hair not quite as "severe" as he's been wearing it.  Maybe just a little more natural since he has very nice hair, and lots of it. More hair, less beard...IMO.  But he's definitely got it, whatever "IT" is!!!!  Thanks for the pics and the vids everyone....a very nice part of my day!! |

And yes, listening to casiopiano's excellent recording of Yusuf singing "All You Need Is Love" and comparing what Yusuf sang to the Beatles' lyrics, it's clear that Yusuf did indeed forget part of the lyrics. Not only that, he inverted the first two verses, lol. Hearing Yusuf sing "All You Need Is Love" is just wonderful, and it doesn't really matter if he forgot the lyrics. But, just to explain that he did indeed mess up, here's the transcript of Yusuf's performance, showing the times from casiopiano's recording of Yusuf singing "All You Need Is Love", and Yusuf's mistakes with the "correct" Beatles' lyrics crossed off and what Yusuf sang instead in italics. Also, note the two verses in inverted order, lol. Poor Yusuf! Can't help but love him. 1:29

....Right, but there are always two sides of the story. To be honest I'm also a computer programmer and to have an idea does not make it. I mean, I have the great idea to write beautiful songs, but I would need a ghostwriter and a voice What I try to say is, the twins had the basic idea but not the ability to make it reality (coding). Anyway, Zuckerberg paid them out. Just a few millions and he is the multi-billionaire. And he took the Facebook site to the highest level... I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures! Sorry for tormenting! But I don't know why Uwe has down-sized my photos again on his website, in high res they are much better. Actually, my pictures would be even much better when I would be allowed to use a DSLR. But professional equipment is not allowed (only for the pros in the pit), so I've to deal with that small photo sensor of my compact camera. But it shows you can make good pictures even with amateur cameras. |

I was just joshing you - referring to the movie in Texas dialect. Zukerberg wrote the code and brought the idea to fruition, so he deserves the lion's share. I have a camera, and I'm here to tell you that taking great pictures is a talent! One I don't have. I thought Yusuf looked especially striking with the dark background and his light sweater and gray hair. It sounds as if it was a great concert from the reports. |
