Wittiest and complicated... two different categories really.
Wittiest - I'll say "Pop Star". I like his tongue-in-cheek dig at the music industry that he himself was a part of. Also the ending, with the "Pop Star" going "home"
Complicated... as a guitarist, something like "How can I tell you" has great lines. I also like the piano work in "Sad Lisa"

I am torn with this one myself;
all of his songs so brilliantly written and composed, and of course sung by a master, i have to go with 18 avenue as being the most complicated and so well orchestrated, so many instruments, and ups and downs,
as for wittiest, i think I have to say 100 I dream, I think he's kinda talking to politicians here,and there power and how they use it,,I could be wrong, correct me if I am please, hard to pick,all his songs are so genius, rubylove and oh caritas,not to mention monads anthem, how is one to pick just one from all these superstar songs!!

I reserve the right to change my mind, but off the top of my head, for "witty", I'd choose "I Love My Dog."
(Wish the volume were higher on this video.)
And for complicated, I'll go for "O'Caritas" for lyrics as well as the rhythms and guitar.

Wittiest for me will have to be BANAPPLE GAS - why well i always smile and laugh whilst watching it (But then again that might be becasue I'm a weirdo HAHAHA ;D)
And Complicated - Well deffo Foreigner Suite...18 MINUTES!! Just the thought of performing A song for 18 minutes is just crazy...

Wittiest: Morning Has Broken Wittiest? I don't know about that, considering he didn't actually write it. Or maybe it was witty to take a hymn (No. 8 in my hymnbook) and make it into a huge hit. Yes, indeed, that was very witty!  Incidentally the organist was playing that song last Sunday as we walked into the church sanctuary. I was just about jumping up and down saying "hey, that's my favorite!"  |

This song goes a long way back, but I think it was very witty, and enjoyed singing along. 'The Laughing Apple'. It was another one of his storybook telling songs, and when I here it, it makes me feel I'm back in primary school. |
