i think there is a worm in it, my anti-virus programme detected that I didn't get a worm when I played it today from the link above (after already downloading it 2 days ago from iTunes for 99 cents). Not intending to be cheeky here.

I heard the song today, as I mentioned on another thread, I loved it. Haven't heard much from him in quite some time and I found his voice to be a bit rougher but still quite nice.
I think the song is sweet, love the sentiment behind it.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!! I can't believe how totally Awesome he sounds! Its as if I was listening to Cat all over again with a touch of Yusuf all grown up! I was totally thrilled with this and the other songs I've heard so far! I really do think we are in for quite a treat when "An Other Cup" finally comes out. We've waited so long for this day to come and gladly enough its almost here. I can hardly wait!

The song reminds me of ... Foreigner Suite...
I cant get rid of the feeling that he is going to recycle quite a lot songs of his old jewels. "Heaven" is great but it's mostly "Foreigner Suite."

Jacky Yeah I know what you mean but then again it is only the very end of foreigner Suite and he's added quite a bit more to it. Also a lot of people may not have heard that part of the foreigner suite because it was quite an unsuccesful album, and as I said it's right at the end of an 18 minute song, and it's a shame for such a great melody and poem to go to waste on many people, so bringing it out as a single will be bringing it to many peoples ears for the 1st time...that's what I think anyway

Foreigner is actually one of my favorite albums, I love what Yusuf has done with it, can't wait for that cd, seems like it's taking forever for November to come along!

Foreigner was not an "unsuccessful" album by any means. It sold a huge amount of copies, but that was over 30 years ago. Many people, especially if they were not Cat Stevens fans to begin with, never heard the original. The refrain taken from Foreigner has been reworded, shortened and given a new meaning. I think it will find a following with todays listeners. I like both the original and the new release, but find them vastly different from each other. I am definitely eager for the new Cd/Dvd to arrive.

Maybe I worded that wrong, what I meant was that most people remember cat for two or three albums and Foreigner is not one of them, that is a fact. Personally Foreigner is my favourite Cat album, and the foreigner suite is probally my all time favourite song by anybody. Foreigner was such a change from his previous 4 albums that people who weren't big Cat Stevens fans did not buy it, so many peole will not know this wonderful little melody (one of his best).

is interesting to note, tho, that for the GH compilation that was out few years ago, the Foreigner suite part they decided to use was not the last one, the one that Yusuf reworked for the new song
i think yusuf was personally involved with that compilation, so he judged that part not very good?

I love the way he worked the word "souls" in place of where "girls" used to be.

So perhaps a few more people have become familiar with it. -Joanne
