Very nice Littleone, thankyou for sharing. Wow, is there a place on this earth that doesn't know who CAT/YUSUF was, is? Yusuf looks very happy, and very overwhelmed by his huge audience. It seems Yusuf actually does enjoy a very sponatneous, singing, and dancing audience. Maybe it just depends on the song, and the occasion. It reminds me of South Africa concert a few years ago. In the video you can see Aminah disctreetly taking position in the background, ready to capture more beautiful shots of her father and the band performing on stage. I think maybe she was also in awe at the response of the incredible audience.

Did he actually *say* "BS" in that last interview? ;D Wow. Kinda looks like Cat is back, not the careful, wary holy man image so many have associated with Yusuf during the past couple decades. I think people had actually grown afraid of him. I'm so glad!

So, after all these video clips from Yusuf's Mawazine 2011 concert I must conclude that it was something a little bit more frenetic than the most frenetic show in Europe

I think people had actually grown afraid of him. I'm so glad! Maybe there is a mistake in the translation. Yusuf is more relaxed being interviewd nowadays , but *BS*, I don't think so. ;D Then again, I could be wrong, he is full of surprises lately, but it seems most unlikely that Yusuf would use this term of expression.

A short but very positive review ( they said cca 50 000 people were in the public ;D On the 4th day of Mawazine Yusuf Islam moves to tears With simple words but very touching, Yusuf Islam "Cat Stevens" was delighted, on Monday night, his fans come to attend one of the most anticipated show of the 10th edition of Mawazine. They were more than 50,000 people to invest in space-OLM Souissi. Some had been waiting decades the magic moment. "I'm happy being here in Morocco. I wanted to come in the past, but it was not possible. Today I'm here, thank God," the artist said at the public . And if the older generation had come to revive the nostalgia, youth, wanted to discover an artist whose songs have rocked since childhood. The humble air guitar in hand, in white robe, Yusuf Islam gave a beautiful recital. He sang of peace, tolerance and love. Shocking moments full of beauty and spirituality, that overwhelm and dissolve prejudices and preconceptions. Moreover, spread a message of peace in a world of misunderstandings and conflicts are among the reasons for the return of Yusuf Islam on stage. "The world has changed. The problems are so compliquésŒles contemporary conflicts and misunderstandings are the biggest," he said, a day before his show. From his old hits dating from his time at his hippie pieces latest full of serenity and spirituality of "The Cat" as he is nicknamed, was a sensation. During the show, the emotion rising gradually. Some even shed tears, towards the end when he sang "Father and Son" and "Wild World". Moments of fullness, as it does not happen often.

Good review, very nice videos. I am happy for Yusuf for doing what he feels must be done, to spread the message of Peace and he is also enjoying it. Doesnt he look like a holy man in those white robes or an Angle. Has he gone from "Roadsinger" to "Singing Angel" in one night? ;D
Peace, Catchem

:)G-one asks I ,for one ,really like it..... it makes me smile and Yusuf as usual is a guy that is so full of surprises.....he never keeps still and moves on and on and I love to see him do that... I still love the other version too.....and feel I can love both...Yusufs message remains but is reworked a little and made fresh....just like him.. (hmmm I seem to be overdoing the word love.....eek!!! ) As to the vid interview G-one...thanks for posting and even if it has appeared before...who can tire........lol x

:)But seriously, apart from the oxymoronic non-provocative white robe, isn't this just so beautiful... “Everybody has got the potential to try to fulfill their lives in the way that they choose without hurting or diminishing anybody else’s right to the same.” - Yusuf Islam in response to the Arab Spring protestsriadzany.blogspot.com/2011/05/yusuf-islam-at-mawazine-festival.html
