I'm ashamed to say I didn't know anything about it!! I don't think anyone knew anything about it. He did mention on FB the possibility of a biography a while back. As for the content, I'm adopting a wait and see attitude.

As for the content, I'm adopting a wait and see attitude. To be honest, I and a good friend of mine knew about this book. Yusuf already confirmed it before he mentioned that on FB. He said in one of the articles that he is writing a new book which is a spiritual memoir due out last Ramadan. The book supposed and scheduled to be published last Summer but for some reasons expected to be released only by this Fall.

Has anyone outside the Arab Emirates placed an order for the book yet? I filled out my information, but when it came time to pay it redirects to another website that seems to have an Australian "dot" web address (.au)
I'm a little hesitant to put my info in on that website, not knowing if it's secure or not.

Thank you so much, coolcat! I think I was going to go ahead and place the order anyway, but you have made me feel more at ease. I so look forward to reading this book. PS: I loved the moving graphic of the 'patiently waiting' little kid you posted above. Too cute. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (a few minutes later and t4t has ordered Yusuf's book. yay) Thanks for "motivating" me... which brings me to this: coolcat, there's a post on Motivate Book's facebook page regarding the book release. There are some nice pictures of Yusuf posted there; check it out: www.facebook.com/pages/Motivate-Books/535729143153236

To those who posted that they received their copy of Yusuf's book, how is it? Does it meet your expectations?

I received the book and the first thing I did was look through it quickly to get a general idea of the focus, and to take a look at the photos. There is one particularly sad photograph that is so touching; it really bares his soul.
The book is not overly long, about 100 pages. At first you would think it is a quick read. But as I began reading I realized that Yusuf is trying to say something important here, and I can't rush through reading the words he has set upon the page. It is interesting to follow his thought process as he has endeavored to understand things along his quest for spiritual knowledge and how that weaves into the fabric of his life. I am not even half way through the book, but I will say that it helps instill a tremendous amount of understanding. I learn so much from this man.

No can do, I have a "dumb phone", an archaic no frills Nokia (but it does have "Peace Train" as its ringtone, yeah).
There are actually 2 such photos, one I have seen before, of a younger Yusuf wearing a white turban, looking down upon a baby he is holding in his arms (this photo appears in the booklet that comes with the Cat Stevens 4-cd set. I'm sure you've seen that photo). The other one is of Yusuf dressed in white, standing upon rubble, a broken cradle at his feet, and Yusuf holding a baby's sweater. He's looking at the garment, probably wondering whatever became of the child, hoping the little one made it out of there alright.
Christina, haven't you ordered a copy of the book yet?
PS: I still haven't finished reading it... I've been bogged down with work & stuff.
