I learnt yesterday that Yusuf is a late announcement for the Peace One Day Concert at The Royal Albert Hall on Friday 21 September 2007. www.peaceoneday.org/concert.aspxI managed to get tickets but in the restricted viewing area way up in the circle. Never mind at least I will be there. If only Yusuf had announced his attendance earlier! I hope some of you can still get tickets! Best to all, Chris

Good to hear about the concert. How nice Novim and Ladyhelen will be able to attend, even if the seats aren't the best. ENJOY

Hi Michele, Glad you managed to get a ticket. We are in row X6 in seats 220-222. I doubt whether we will see much of the concert though! I hope that you have a lovely evening and that you managed to get a good seat! Best regards Chris(topher)

Marc Almond is also playing at this show. Wonder if Alun Davies will be sitting in with them.

I only wish I could get away, but at this time, it's just impossible! Not only is that way too short notice for me to get away, but that is also the Eve of Yom Kippur, when I will be fasting.
Peace,Vivian

No, Michele this is actually probably the best place to try to sell it, and help you fellow Cat/Yusuf fan.
Hopefully, some deserving soul will see this request. :-)

Peace,Vivian Sounds like both you and Yusuf will be fasting! Of course, he will break his fast after sunset, which is hopefully before the 7:30 PM start-time of the concert. Do you fast for just the Eve of Yom Kippur, or for a month, as in Ramadhan? Is your fast also from before sunrise to after sunset? ~Sun~

It begins at Sundown on the EVE of Yom Kippur, and the entire following day, until sundown. So, my fast is from sunset till sunset the following day. It's just for one 24 hour period. Peace,Vivian

(I have more, but I don't want to hijack this thread, so, I'll save them for another time. ) Anyway, if prayers are more likely to be answered when people are fasting, I hope everyone who's fasting will pray for peace. And "Peace" to you as well, Vivian, ~Sun~

Thank you for this great news, Ale. From the article: "Launched in 1999 by British filmmaker Jeremy Gilley, the international film project Peace One Day inspired and documented the unanimous adoption by the UN member states of the first ever day of global ceasefire and non-violence fixed annually on the 21st September ‘Peace Day’." "On Peace Day 2007 there will be even more marches, festivals, events, multi-faith celebrations and debates around the world, acknowledged by and culminating in this extraordinary live event at the Royal Albert Hall." Will there really be a "global ceasefire?" That would be an amazing and wonderful thing! ~Sun~
