Thanks for the link Ale. I feel so so lucky that I have the opportunity to attend this great event I'm a bit dubious about being able to take photos though (I will try to sneak my camera in though ). I think they will be extra vigilant because of it being recorded!

Well, slap me silly but I bought my Peace One Day ticket yesterday and am in the process of hotel hunting. ;D Airfares are fairly reasonable; just need to find lodgings - preferably close to the RAH. Marie, I do hope we can meet up again! And Cristalina, if all goes according to plan I'll be in town from Friday a.m. until Sunday mid-morning-ish. Would love it if we could get together. Sue! Whatchyoo doin' girl? You gonna be around? And BRUCE!!!! BRUCE!!!! If you're reading this, I no longer have your email, so please get in touch and let me know if you're going or if maybe we can get together for a coffee or something. Who else is going? -Joanne

Be sure to spread the word about Peace one Day. What a great idea! THis kind of thing really warms my heart. I've been telling everyone I know and explaining why just one day is such an important step towards peace. People are really responsive. I think Yusuf may sing. There is Peace, Maybe There's a World and of course Peace Train. I pick these because they run along the same theme of peace. Any thoughts?

Maybe he'll have a surprise song, too - a cover of someone else's song, as he did with Saturn. ~Sun~

So far, looks like Chris, Lady Helen, Michele, Marie, Joanne, and Sue are going. That's a great group to represent Majicat and cheer on Yusuf. (And there're still 6 more days -- who knows how long this list will get!)
Have a wonderful time, all of you.

WOO HOO!!! I'm going after all!!!My Mum God Bless her, has treated me to an early Birthday pressie, so I will be able to meet up with Marie, Joanne and whoever else is going, I have managed to get a great seat too! Front Arena Row 5, smack right in the middle!!! So Lady Helen, where are you seated? ;D Yeah, right next to me! LOL You're in the seat I was in for the NoR gig back in 2003! Eerie! ;D A word of advice for anyone still hoping to get tickets: Some seats remain available on the RAH website. I had originally gotten a decent seat for Arena E, Row 12. A couple of days later, I popped over to the site to check the seating plan to find out where other folks' seats would be. Lo and behold, Arena A, Row 5, Seat 17 was available for purchase. "WTF?" thought I. "That wasn't available when I bought mine." I called the RAH box office and a lovely woman was more than happy to upgrade my ticket, since I will not have it in hand untill the day of the show when I pick it up at the office. Also, the RAH is generally willing to upgrade seats based on availabilty upon arrival. So "don't be shy" about inquiring. Another tidbit of information: According to a post on another message board, RAH members are able to purchase ("hold"?) seats for events but are permitted to return them if they opt not to attend. So seats sometime become available that were otherwise shown as occupied. -Joanne

I always feel like merely a spectator at a movie, watching these transactions of: oh, I got my flight! or oh, I found an extra ticket... and oh, let's meet at such-n-such pub.
SIGH!
Vicarious living is underrated.

Vicarious living is underrated. Lucy, I'm just lucky that I live in London (or NOT sometimes lol) when these events come up! I know you are only joking, but if I lived in the States there is no way I could afford to come here for a concert, so don't feel so bad

I wish I lived in UK!!
Thanks, marier. I do hope people realize I'm only joking. Sometimes I worry I come off too facetious... I really just enjoy a laugh. (though there is a bit of truth in my outbursts)
I really do feel deprived, not living in UK. Have always felt that way!

I feel the same way Lucy, but living month to month paying my bills and mortgage, I can't justify a plane ticket to England right at this moment, though it would be a dream come true. BUT, we will get our chance one day soon, here in the states. Just you wait and see. And then, you will get to be one of the fortunate to see him. Perhaps we will see him together. But until then, how nice that we can live this dream through Joanne, Chris/Annie, Ladyhelen, Marie, Michele and SuzieQ and many others. ;D ;D ;D And as Sun mentioned earlier, what a wonderful group of people to represent Majicat.

I only wish I can get back to London. Somehow, it keeps getting put off for another year while we save for a downpayment for our future home. Maybe next year. But do give Yusuf our love.

Hi to all who are going to the concert on Friday.
On the tickets, it says no camera's allowed in the Albert Hall. If anyone is taking a camera, how do you plan on managing to get it into the arena? Hopefully they don't confisgate them. I know in the past they have checked bags when going in there.
Any ideas?

Take a disposable camera?
Or better yet, fashion a tiny pinhole camera! You can make one out of nearly anything! And as tiny as you want! Half joking...
