Since I trust a Majicatter more than any of these blogs, can someone who was there last night give us the lowdown on timing? From what I am reading it sounds as though Yusuf sang for about 40 minutes, then came the musical, then he came back on. How long did he come back on for?
As for the couple from Chicago and the other couple from LA, all I can say is that I also flew from the US to see him in May and would have LOVED for him to play longer than he did! But did I love every minute of it nonetheless? ABSOLUTELY!! and I did not for one moment regret travelling all that way to see him. Sorry, but if they read the information out there about the concert, they should not have been so overwhelmingly disappointed.
As Helen and Juliette have said, perhaps they are not true fans.
And maybe I am just grumpy and patience-less on a Monday morning...

Oh my gosh...he did Tuesday's Dead?? My all time fave!! And people walked out after all that?? All I can tell you is that if my sister and I had been there...the first hiss or boo would have been taken care of! How dare anyone treat him that way! And what fools they felt like when he came back out to finish the show. I only worry about Yusuf, I hope he wasn't backstage feeling heartsick that all his work was for naught. At the very least, out of respect for the artist, the audience should have watched the show and given their opinions at a later time. Don't worry Yusuf, come back to the U.S., we won't boo anything you do. We're just happy you're back and performing!! As far as I'm concerned...Dublin can just kiss my ___!! They don't know a great thing when they see it! My 2 cents, Richina Sorry it's the Louisiana coming out in me! ;D I am right there with you, Richina, except in my case it would be the NY coming out in me! I can't imagine walking out on any performer that I went to see, but to walk out on Yusuf is just insane! I certainly hope his next three shows are better-received and that people don't get drunk! This is Yusuf, not a Motley Crue concert!!

Great pictures - and thanks for sharing so quickly! Nice to know you were able to take photos. I hope we can do the same at Royal Albert Hall. Last time I was there they only allowed photos at the very end. My fingers are crossed...

Walked out? I don't even know what the heck to say about that. I agree with crobarbie - we are likely to see some very mixed opinions in the press tomorrow.

Thanks for the pictures, Regii! If I lived on that side of the pond, I might have gone to the Dublin show to see a bit of Ireland. Good to see the photo of you, too! See you soon!

Huh? Did I miss something? In recent years, Yusuf has appeared more comfortable with life in the spotlight, and released two albums, but there was an air of expectation among fans as they counted off the days until the first concerts. "I had my first twinge of real emotion yesterday when I realized I was going to be seeing you perform for the second time this year after waiting 33 years," one devotee, Jane, told the singer's official Web site. "I can't wait to see you and everyone else next month in London! I just know it will be majik!"WOW - I feel like the biggest dummy ever! How did I miss that??? I usually check Majicat while I am at work so I am always "multi-tasking." I must have skimmed right over the first part of this article and got right to the interview. This is a sign that I have to get my priorities in order and put Yusuf and Majicat first!

Sue - we need to do some Photoshop magic ("majik") to have Yusuf sitting in the van with you and Regii! I don't know if I am quite at that skill level yet. Anyone? You mean like this Jane? hehe!! ;DYes! Ha!Ha!Ha! That was delightful to wake up to! Good job, Sue!

Wow – I think I was misunderstood. I was just reminiscing – not “dissing.” Back in the day, getting the concert t-shirt outside of Madison Square Garden before the concert was part of the experience, and at least for me, getting it off the web just isn’t the same. That’s all I was saying…

Maybe it's just me, but buying a concert t-shirt off of a website just doesn't have the same "charm" as buying it from a guy selling them on the sidewalk outside of the concert hall. I think I am going to try to make my own?

As usual, I had to peek in at Majicat to see what is going on during my work day - how nice to find this video! Vicki - I loved the guy in the bow tie as well! I almost started to cry watching him sing - I think he felt the same way I did back in May at Shepherd's Bush.
I agree Vicki, "everything is falling into place..."

I can't get the link to open for me here at work - maybe it's trying to tell me something about what I really should be doing at work?
I was going to try to do my own long-sleeve t-shirt with the promo graphic from the tour, but I at least want to see what is on this site, especially the "Wanted" t-shirt!

It is simply wonderful to see him continue to be recognized for his talent and achievements. Vicki - I agree - a tailored velvet suit is just the perfect look. What is it with us women that we are always looking to dress "our men?" Jane

In a way yes, the craziness matches. Holi is many things to many people. I'd love to have a real Halloween though, pumpkins and all. The spirit of Halloween with the lights and the element of the supernatural, reminds me more of Bhoot Chaturdashi which is the dark night before the Diwali dawn. Read an Indian blogger's experience of this festival aditisen.blogspot.com/2007/10/spookian-nights.htmlJane I'd love to hear more about your travels in India. You were pretty brave to travel that route that weekend. ;D I didn't know anything about Holi until that weekend,so I didn't know what I was doing. I will have to find my blog that I kept and add some things to it for you. It was such a special trip...

Yes if people should look more what we have in common in our culture they would see how many things are infact the same or for the same reasons the same purpose only in another robe.that's fine hear we learn from eachother (buildig our bridges)thanks Regii Regii, you are so right. Look at what has happened with all of us - we have made friends with each other just because we love the music of one man. When I met some of you in London, it seemed we already knew each other. Just imagine if the whole world had their own "Yusuf" - what a different world it would be.

Jane sorry i'm laying double in a laugh ,there was nothing in my mind like thinking of you all as old cows LOL So the wise thing forv me is always explaining what i mean otherwise !! hugs Jane .By the way are'ent we at the same age so i would be a old cow to LOL ;D Sure - we're all about the same age. I don't know what I was thinking. I guess I thought - for only a brief moment - that you were just referring to the whole bunch of us as old cows. Either way, it was funny, and don't change a thing Regii. You are just perfect the way you are! Jane

You have your own version in India - Holi. In 2007, I traveled between Delhi and Agra, back and forth, over the weekend of Holi. The way people paint their faces with the gulal and celebrate is much like our Halloween. I remember seeing auto-rickshaws FILLED with many people, all with their faces painted yellow, pink, green, blue, purple - it was amazing!
