That site is just like The Onion - it is all fake. I think most people that go there know that. Don't spend too much time worrying about it or even thinking about it.

Regii, I am glad to see you explain this expression. For a minute I thought you were calling US old cows! Ha! Ha! But I knew you were too nice to say that! Jane

Yea! Bud's back! It is just not the same without you, my friend. I hope you get some reliable connectivity very soon - we need you! Missing other 'Catters as well - Jonathan, Vicki, Chris - hope to see you back on here more often as well. It's like family members not being at the dinner table...

Thanks Paulo and Jane. So it was unfinished back then? I think it's definitely bidding for my top ten list now. I think so - I seem to remember him saying at Shepherd's Bush back in May that he finished it for Roadsinger. Anyone else remember that?

Speaking of 'the rain'... I am sure that a while agao when I was trawling through '100 I dream', I came across a song recorded in 1968 called "The Rain" it was the same song off of the new album... I might be wrong but I swear that I listened to it on the website a while ago- but it has since been removed with the release of the new version... So in answer to your question I am certain that it was written back in 1968. Yes, Paulo, you are correct - there was a little snippet of the song on Yusuf's site. I remember Daddy-O (George) posted here about it and pointed us to it. I remember saying that I wished Yusuf had finished it. Ha! My wish came true when I received Roadsinger! It is one of my favorites on that album. Yup - I'm old; I still call them albums...

As my countdown says - only 50 days left 'til Dec. 8th - what about meeting for lunch at the Shaftesbury again? Think we don't have to make a reservation this time as we're not that many as in May. But would be nice to know, who will attend - JaneB, Regii, Sue, Helen and Meg? cu soon Gabi 50 days sounds so far away! Fortunately, time is speeding by so it will be here before we know it. I am totally up for the Shaftesbury. I'm sure we'll have more people on the list as it gets closer. I can barely wait!

I can't even read the other snake stories here. They are the one and only thing that can literally give me nightmares, and at this age, I definitely need my beauty sleep! ;D ;D ;D

Wow. I would do four things if I ever discovered snakes living anywhere in my car:
1. Remove the license plates 2. Remove the VIN tag 3. Abandon the car somewhere near a chop-shop 4. Buy a new car
I'm joking about the first three (I think), but not #4. I don't think I could ever drive that car again, but kudos to you if you can.
Good thing you have great music to listen to while dealing with that!

Soitis - you should be proud of yourself. I'm glad you are going to see "our fantastic Cat," but I wish we were going to see you in London. I'm sure as the time gets closer more people who are going to the Dublin show will pop up and you will have a great time with some Majicatters and other fans.
That is going to be a very exciting couple of weeks, isn't it?

And we are glad to see you back, Bud! I know the pain of losing a loved one doesn't disappear overnight, but hopefully our banter and Richina's posts ;D will help lift your spirits.
It finally feels like Fall here in Minnesota. Of course, people are already complaining that it's cold - it's only 48 degrees! What are they going to do when it hits 20 degrees below zero?? Fall in MN also means the Honeycrisp apple. I think they are available in other parts of the US now. If you haven't tried one, I highly recommend it!

Hey Richina! We're here with you, girl! I was wondering the same thing, but blaming myself as well - wondering why I seem to have so little time. I guess I'm busy trying to keep my job (laid off and then extended 3 times since June - ugh!) and still planning some great times. I refuse to act jobless until/if I actually am. Some call that denial. Not sure what I call it!
Maybe it is just the lull between summer Yusuf activities and what is to come. But, yes, what is everyone up to?
I am actually heading to London in a few days for a quick trip to see Curtis Stigers (love, love, love him!) and a couple of plays. I have a ticket to see Kevin Spacey in "Inherit the Wind" next Sunday, so I'm pretty excited about that, too. And then it is the countdown to December 8 for me...

Hi I have the opportunity to purchase tickets in Block A Row 1, I have never been to RAH, do these sound like front row tickets? I know they have different setups for different shows, but they do sound like front row. Go to the RAH website - maybe you can see something there.

Hello, my English is so bad that I have noticed not at those who now moves to London. Do we want to meet somewhere before? I am at 8.12. at 10.00 in London and fly at 9.12. at 14.00 back to Germany It would be nice if we could meet. Hi Catnip - Christine created sub-boards for each of Yusuf's upcoming shows so we can plan our get-togethers and talk about the concerts. I will arrive in London on Dec 6 and depart on the 10th or 11th. We will definitely get together - check out the other sub-board for the London show. I am sure there will be more plans as the time gets closer. I look forward to meeting you! Jane

This is great news and long overdue! I don't know if it is a coincidence, but I think it is wonderful that this is happening so soon after Roadsinger and his return to the stage.
You are correct, catchem, his music will always be in our hearts.
Great day right back at you!

I thought it would be a good idea to know when we will be in London. I make the most out of all my trips to London, so I will be arriving on Sunday the 6th and departing on Thursday the 10th.
Gabi - maybe we can catch dinner Monday night when you get in. Anyone else game?
I will be staying at the Gloucester Millennium in South Kensington. I stayed there last month and loved it. Ok, it is not the cheapest, but not the most expensive, either. I really like the location. I am actually popping over to London in a couple of weeks to see Curtis Stigers at the Indigo 02, and will be staying there then, too.
My seat at the hall is Arena F, Row 7 Seat 31
It will be great to see everyone again, as well as some new people that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet!

Hey guys... im having trouble buying tickets off the AEG website. I keep getting this message: "Sorry, no exact matches were found, but other tickets may still be available. Try the following: Search again * Select "Best Available" or "Any Price" * Change the quantity of tickets requested * Double check your promotional code or password, if you used one * At the time of your search, another customer may have been viewing the tickets you want and then decided not to buy them I just clicked for 3 tickets and left the other options as 'best available' and i think 'any' has anyone else experienced this? by the way its for the london concert.. Sorry to say, I think it means that all seat are sold out. Maybe they will release more seats tomorrow. Or it means that they don't have 3 seats together available. Try searching on 1 or 2 tickets if you and your friends don't mind not sitting together. SuzieQ could be right - maybe they will release more tickets tomorrow. If they do, you should be on it first thing in the morning. People are acting quickly!

by the way....are you allowed to record the audio using a voice recorder? i can imagine these concerts being bootlegs in 20 years time. In Royal Albert Hall? I would say not allowed, just like cameras. If you plan to do it, you will have to hide the recorder well.

Just joined the forum today. I have manged to get tickets for Birmingham - CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 However, I was told when I booked tickets that on the day the ticket holder who purchased tickets will have to come to the arena with the card used to buy the tickets as well as photographic ID. If they do not have this - they will be refused entry My friend who is going to Dublin has been told the same. Just thought I would share in case anyone purchased tickets as a gift or got them as a gift. First of all, welcome to Majicat! I trust you will like it here - alot! Fortunately I bought a ticket only for myself, but I am curious as to why this would be required. I have only heard of that in cases where you pick up the tickets at the venue the day of the show. I am going to see the show in London and there was no indication of that in my email confirmation, although I always travel with both of those things. Enjoy the forum! Jane

I read that the Royal Albert Hall, is it really so bad because if you make pictures? I'd like to hold this evening at some photos! I went to a concert there last month and Helen warned me that the Royal Albert Hall is VERY strict about not taking pictures, and she was right. We were able to take photos of the hall before the show, but not at all after the show started. The only exception was that during the final encore no one was stopping anyone, but I couldn't get a single photo during the show itself. Of course, that won't stop me from trying...

Your statement is not fair towards us Germans Cat Fans, you can believe me I and also many others from our forum would become with pleasure, very much with pleasure come, however, sometimes it simply does not go. Everybody has thus his obligations to those one must follow. I also so suffer it to me also acts. I would come loving with pleasure to London to the concert, however, it does not go just sometimes. Hurt ...ähm... excuse me, Sir, Mr. Hurt, but I think there is a misunderstanding!! With my posting I did NOT mean you or Anette or any other Magicatter!! (- I wrote you a PM to explain in german -) Me and my posting are SO much fair, you couldn't imagine - so keep cool, folks @ JaneB: OMG!! I'm so sorry!! Job is done - I've edited my silly mistake @ G-One: Thank you, but I'm not afraid of London-Town @ all: Have a nice time. Oh, MoulinRouge, sometimes things are so misunderstood when they are in writing. I meant no offense to you when I said he is our Cat. All I meant was to encourage you to come to the show because there will be many Majicat friends there to keep you company. I went to the show in May by myself having never met anyone from Majicat. That time is now in my memory as one of the most special times of my life. When I am at home listening to him, he is most certainly "my Cat" and has been since I was 13. I used "our" only to let you know you should consider coming by yourself because there will be many of us there to have fun with. I do hope to see you there! Jane

I got front row and centre for Dublin from the Redroom sale! This is pretty amazing I was really a massive fan of Cat's when I discovered him a few years ago, listened to his records constantly and from it became interested in so much music. I've since become a published songwriter. Thanks, Cat! I hope the setlist is varied. Suddenly my 7th row seat in London is not quite as good! Good for you, Django! Enjoy the show - I know you will!
