Have and as I told Joanne... burn part of that candle for Pete Townshend too (for me)!! Sadly I'm not going to see Yusuf as I'm in London on Saturday to see Roy Harper, which I'm sure I'll enjoy, not sure Joanne will as I've invited her along, but I'm hoping she will, still she'll have Sunday evening to look forward to, I'll be home by then No one arranged to meet up for the Dear Mr Fantasy bill then?

If any of you have arranged to meet up, if you let me know before lunchtime on Saturday I can pass the info to Joanne (HardheadedSofthrtd) as we're meeting up on Saturday in London.

I would be happy to see Yusuf do a limited tour. I can understand a big tour being "too much" especially on his family life. (big kudos to his wife! (in advance)) (she really must be a strong and kind woman to be putting up with even the thought of his touring (and even his overall re-emergence onto the scene. It must be a huge adjustment on them all.) Now, having said this... I really think there ought to be special tickets "set aside" in every city for oh.......... say............. Majicat site members... Seems fair. I realize you may just be talking wishfully, but why exactly would this be fair? What makes a majicat site member more deserving than any other interested party? Not everyone has the time or opportunity to participate in these online fan sites...I don't think that means they are less of a fan or admirer. Sorry I don't mean to be rude and I appreciate majicat just as much as the next person (there is some truly amazing stuff archived here!) but I don't necessarily agree with the entitlement thing for lack of a better word. I do hope he agrees to a few public dates at small size venues (actually, I'm reasonably confident it will happen). This is really where he always belonged and was at his best. Well 30 odd years ago we fan club members were able to order our tickets directly from Val Davies before they were available at the venues

Speaking of Billboard, the other day in Borders I was coveting a beautiful poster... the same photo of Yusuf, only HUGE, like 16 x 20 or so. Do you think I have half a chance of getting it when they're through with it, if I ask nicely? Has anyone ever had any luck procuring a piece of promotional material from a music outlet? I got a huge cardboard display unit from HMV once, mind you it was for Teenage Mutant Turtles, lol

... was on BBC 1 this a.m., with guests Yusuf and Ronan Keating. An interesting interview with Yusuf by Robin Denselow and video footage of Heaven/Where True Love Goes. It's likely to be aired on BBC site. Oh b****r, I actually read about the programme and it only mentioned Ronnie Corbett in the listing so I didn't watch

I agree Laurie it was very generous of Yusuf to share the music with us before it was released. And now I own my very own personal copy ;D

My Cd arrived today ;D ;D ;D ;D I've got the deluxe with the UK bonus track ;D ;D The book is lovely, not as big as I was expecting, well what do I know I expect far too much , its a perfect size if you want to carry the Cd out with you. I love the story at the beginning of the spiritual master and a learned man having a cup of tea. Helps me to understand the title of the album more, I wasn't comfortable with it before. I just love Midday, Maybe There's a World, One Day at a Time but In the End is fast becoming my favourite ;D ;D

It'd be nice if he were to perform live again to keep it small, you know maybe just me and okay maybe about 99 others ;D I think the pressures come with the larger venues.

It took me ages to find this copy and when I did it was the only copy left, it was a bit bent up and curled at the edges but I wasn't going to leave it! lol Which shop did you find your copy in Suzie? I've looked everywhere, I was thinking of ordering it online.

I was very pleasantly surprised to see Yusuf's new album being advertised on the Discovery Channel . Starts by mentioning Cat Stevens, pics from Matthew & Son and Tillerman era, then clips of Yusuf singing Heaven and Maybe there's a World ;D

The new site is ok, but as a replacement for catstevens.com, well it just isn't is it Yusuf could have gone ahead with his new site and left us all with the old one, I think it was a means to an end, he wanted rid of the old site and the messageboards

Or £13.99 at tinyurl.co.uk/152jAlso mentioned in the email about record of the week... "And the digital download, featuring the tracks above, as well as a live version of 'Oh Very Young' and exclusive video footage if purchased from iTunes." and what about the UK bonus track "There is Peace" ;D That is available on the digital download. I think I might order the Deluxe Edition though

I've had my first email from Yusuf's site, which had an e-card of his new song, but try what I might I can't get it to play I've now sent it to almost everyone I know and had to register each time but still never heard a single note. I know I've already heard it but I thought it would have been really nice to have my own personal copy by email, well you know what I mean, lol

Oh dear I'm not too sure admittedly the sound wasn't too good so I had to strain to hear it, but I love Foreigner, just as it is. I found it difficult to hear it being sung differently. I do love Maybe There's a World and Midday though ;D
