I like Wild World, I don't think its overrated at all, I've just played it in the car, skipped Sad Lisa because I wanted to hear Miles From Nowhere before I reached home ;D I also like Wild World by Jimmy Cliff.

I've never really got into myspace either, seems like I'm getting left behind or should we all be on facebook now? Anyway as to a new album I would prefer to hear new songs, in some ways although I have enjoyed some of the updated old songs, I still really prefer the originals and they are what bought me to Cat Stevens in the first place

Oh dear, I must admit, that I visited a James Blunt concert last year in Cologne together with my husband. I absolutely can listen to his music, but my husband has a similar opinion like Daddy-o. I have to admit my husband feels the same way. He will normally come with me to most concerts that I choose but I'm afraid he refusing to come to James Blunt

I think it was "You're bee-yoootiful" sung castrato and played constantly on the radio (payola!!) that tipped me over the edge. Sorry Cristalina!! Please take a few rotten eggs and tomatoes from me :-) Lol ;D I can imagine how hearing You're Beautiful constantly on the radio could tip you over the edge, I rarely listen to the radio so only heard the song when I chose to. I loved the 1st album, though I haven't heard anything from All the Lost Souls yet

I always thought "Another Saturday Night" was uncharacteristic of him. Never did like it. Thats the one I was going to choose ce So for a second choice, Freezing Steel.

This is from an interview with Ronan Keating in Live magazine, 31/12/06 (which is a supplement of The Mail on Sunday) UK "The record that got me where I am today, Father and Son by Cat Stevens. I sang this at the audition for Boyzone. We had a hit with it later and then I got to sing it with Cat Stevens himself on my solo album." Also the same magazine, 7/1/07, in an interview with James Morrison, "The most precious record in my collection, Greatest Hits by Cat Stevens. It has no monetary value but I love the songs. We share the same label and I was lucky enough to see him play the songs from his new album the other day - they sound as good as the ones from 25 years ago." Wasn't he lucky

I keep hearing and singing threaded purse instead of pearls Cristalina, Meant to tell you... Friday I was driving on business, and of course I listened to AOC along the way. I paid extra special attention to the line you mentioned and sure enough when he said "threaded purrrse" I nearly lost it, ROFL! Thanks for bringing this bit of humor into my life! You're welcome Lucy Lets hope it doesn't stick with you forever though. I use to love singing along to Follow Me by Uncle Kracker, then one day my son said why does he say "piss in the sea" of course its "fish in the sea" but do you think I ever get it right now, lol ;D

[quote author=zaidkh board=catstevens thread=1164321432 i also made this mistake "his wisdom flowed from heaven's book, just like threaded verse" and "he opened up the doors of love to every heart touched with verse" there are tons more, but i can't think of them right now.[/quote] I keep hearing and singing threaded purse instead of pearls

I met Craig and although he had the hair, apart from that I didn't think he looked like Cat (no offence intended Craig if you're reading this) could definately play a great tune though, hope he's doing well with his tribute gigs

I hope I'm not being too flippant but for those people in the UK who are fed up (Blair and Gordon, Gas bills and the world at war) and need a good laugh, Extras is back on Thursday!! Have a great week. Thank god you never mentioned the price of fuel too, lol then I'd have been really fed up. With predicted gas bills we'd all better hope we have a mild winter. Never got into Extras, last good comedy I really enjoyed was Everbody Hates Chris. Oh really enjoyed your book by the way

I'm still reading George's book which I'm enjoying and despite being a very early Cat fan, he still has info in the book I didn't know about, such as the early fan club (and lots of other stuff too ) Very interesting reading. I bought the David Evans book and although I enjoyed it, I was left feeling that Cat was a very difficult person, which is what seemed to come over more strongly than anything in the book to me. Maybe thats because I was blind to the 'real Cat', as he himself often said fans were, which disappointed me a bit I always imagined this wonderfully happy calm person and maybe that is what he has become now, I don't know. The David Evans book has been available quite frequently on ebay recently and selling for very reasonable prices. Never managed to get a copy of the Charlesworth book, missed the last one on ebay because I forgot and logged on 5 minutes after it'd finished

Did you read this line A summer tour could beckon but don't hold your breath. But it says "could" ;D ;D where is that line In the article posted by SuzieQ, from Mojo Father & Son and Peace Train ended the set, before an encore of Wild World sung partially in Swahili. A summer tour could beckon but don't hold your breath.
