I recently came across a similar situation whilst on holiday in Malta. I had found out that you have to have your shoulders covered in church and gone prepared. However I didn't know that you shouldn't wear shorts Fortunately mine weren't short shorts and looked more like a skirt so it wasn't a problem but I wish I had known beforehand.

That must have been the Majikat tour just before he came to the USA. I remember that I bought Numbers in December of 75. Cristalina, what part of England is Stafford located? Its in the Midlands, I don't think (not sure) that Bingley Hall is used for concerts now. www.staffscountyshowground.co.uk/bingley_hall.htmWhat I remember most is Cat complaining because either the heating system or the air conditioning was quite noisy and he wouldn't sing until it was sorted. I think eventually it had to be turned off and he apologised and said he wouldn't perform there again.

Not sure if this was on the radio, but when I was shopping today in B&Q DIY Store I heard Yusuf singing Heaven/Where True Love Goes

My mom who will be 90 this year watched the Porchester Hall concert when it was on tv, without any prompting from me She always recognises Cat/Yusuf if he is on telly for whatever, news, adverts and always recognises his songs. I trained her well ;D ;D ;D

The reception is great here as well... I plugged in my speakers, which I hardly ever do anymore. It sounds so much better than my laptop speakers. Oh Cristalina, I hope you are able to hear this. I'm afraid I gave up in frustration Christine, I'm sure I could never have stayed awake till 4 am anyway. I'm glad that most of you were able to enjoy the show though

There were many gems in those pre 1970 songs, Blackness of the Night and The Tramp to name just two.

Mes Amis is French for "My Friends". It's how Yusuf refers to us, his fans. Peace,Vivian Hi Vivian... yes, my French is bad, but not that bad. What I was asking about was in response to the posting below: Re: Midday (Avoid City After Dark) « Reply #40 on May 1, 2007, 3:34pm » Yay.. the video is on Mes Amis! But thanks, anyway! - N Mes Amis, the members area on Yusuf's site

I might be completely wrong here but isn't there something about Muslims not going out after the evening prayers (in the dark, maybe). I'm not sure if it was Yusuf that said something like that.

I'm not to keen on this song, couldn't imagine it fitting well in the MBJ era.

I think so far Beloved is my favourite song, its the one I choose to forward to if I'm short of time and I'm probably about as non religious as you can be, doesn't stop me loving the song though

Maybe it's my temperament, maybe it's the fact that things are extraordinarily bad for me, and have been as long as I can remember.... but I find sustenance in the 1970-71 material. I enjoy all the albums, but when CS (or YI) goes for a childlike simplicity in later songs, I'd love to fully appreciate it, but am not in a position to, I guess. I'm sorry things are/have been so bad for you and hope they improve. I know when things have been bad for me I like to wallow in Leonard Cohen, well I'll wallow in Leonard Cohen anytime actually

showing your age there, cristalina... Lol,I know terrible isn't it. I was talking to my sister earlier today who'd bumped into someone she hasn't seen since she was 15, he recognised her and said she hadn't changed abit. I said "What , you mean he thought you'd always looked 54?" ;D

I don't think Randy would be thought of as a girl's name here in the UK, it would commonly be used sexually, such as in "you randy devil" type of comment Well at least in The Midlands. Edited to add I did have a friend with a dog called Randy.

You know I've only ever watched the Dvd once, I think I should watch it again. I really enjoyed the way he performed some songs but others just didn't do it for me, I much prefer the calmer gentler Cat than was portrayed at this concert. Although I'm sure it was a roaring success I'm glad that the concerts I went to were not like that. To me it felt edgy and rushed, at times he seemed to be singing too quick. I'm also glad I didn't witness his more unpleasant side, I was happy to have my illusion left intact until the purchase of the Dvd, lol

I dont want to work away Doing just what they all say Work hard boy and youll find One day youll have a job like mine, job like mine, a job like mine
Be wise, look ahead Use your eyes he said Be straight, think right But I might die tonight!
This was very influential when I was a teenager and my mom wanted me to do shop work because we'd previously owned a shop and my brother and sister were in shop work. She just couldn't understand why I wanted to do something different.
