There we were thinking it was Arabic for the return of the Cat!
It's often a learning experience. Now is that decaf Yusuf is drinking or the full caffeine experience?

YUSUF ISLAM'S MOUNTAIN MOVES TO DUBAI MEDIA CITY www.abblogger.com/mountainbikerider/2120099/
Opening the Doors of Wonder: Reflections on Religious Rites of Passage is a collection of interviews with celebrities, journalists, and artists on the importance of religious rites of passage ceremonies in their lives. Included are interviews with Deepak Chopra, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Julia Sweeny, Huston Smith, among others. ucpress.typepad.com/ucpresslog/2006/11/magida_expounds.html
Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) returns with "An Other Cup" www.autopiamusic.com/modules.php?name=News&id=686includes Another link to the Video
Fear Of A Muslim Opinion "There’s no question that some of these incidents have created serious problems for us," said Dan Smith, Hughes’s chief of staff. "She wants to find a way to fix this consistent with national security." Leaked documents show that the Department of Homeland Security is denying entry to those with "irresponsible expressions of opinion" (Yusuf Islam's decision to play guitar for Dolly Parton, perhaps?). Investigative reports have shown that this "Type III" list of people, who would not be barred under any other circumstances, can be denied entry to the US at the discretion of anyone who sees the list. www.altmuslim.com/perm.php?id=P1814_0_24_0

Well spotted SuzieQ and thanks. Great article. Yusuf's music can express concerns across all communities. This must be quite a burden for Yusuf at times, we hope that his great music can break down the negative views about Islam.

There's certainly been better promotional articles, that's for sure. Just what does Terry Larson consider "self serving". The former Cat Stevens' voice sounds rich and strong on "An Other Cup," but if he doesn't want to be misunderstood, he's got a few less self-serving songs to write.Peace,Vivian

Cat Stevens Coming to America Cat Stevens is coming home, sort of. I am told that Greek-Brit Steven Georgiou, now known as Yusuf Islam, has been granted a visa and will enter the United States in mid-December. All I can say is, it’s about time. tinyurl.com/yyyco9(Halfway down the page)

From today: Leap of Faith In the 70s, Cat Stevens embarked on a journey from sensitive-superstar singer-songwriter to recluse in Brazil to devout Islam convert. Now, he tells Alexis Petridis, it's time to start singing again Saturday November 11, 2006 The Guardian music.guardian.co.uk/rockI especially enjoyed this part:

BBC One Sessions TV special {Click Here For Article}(May 1st, 11.15pm)MOJO was on hand last week when Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens, performed his first headlining live concert since playing the Year of the Child concert at Wembley Stadium in 1979. Having retired in the belief that live music was against Islamic law, his recent resurgence followed a declaration that, "This issue of music in Islam is not as cut-and-dried as I was led to believe ...I relied on heresy, that was perhaps my mistake." Backed by a 9-piece band and surrounded by a Bedouin tent set, Islam recorded 16 tracks for a forthcoming BBC One Sessions TV special (May 1st, 11.15pm).............see top for link

But it says "could" ;D ;D where is that line In the article posted by SuzieQ, from Mojo Father & Son and Peace Train ended the set, before an encore of Wild World sung partially in Swahili.
