Is there a way to post more than one picture at a time? Hi, Silent Sunlight. I post multiple images this way: Thank you for the lesson(s)! I'm going to bookmark the posts so I can refer back to them and hopefully do things right from now on. You are all so patient!

Great sleuthing, Peacock. How wonderful for the kids to have a music teacher like this.

What a difference a teacher makes. Sounds like they have an amazing music instructor! I'm happily surprised the kids were allowed to sing a Cat Stevens song. It's a sweet, harmless song but considering how a few people are so anti-anything-Muslim I'm surprised nobody vetoed their song choice based on Cat being it's writer. An example of how silly some people can be, although this is a different situation, my niece is a singer (Danica Dora, you can find her on youtube) and she sings at my mother's church when she's visiting us in Maryland. Her song choice for one Sunday was "Bridge Over Troubled Water" which for my money is one of the nicest songs ever written. She wasn't allowed to sing it because "Simon and Garfunkel broke up which sets a bad example" (!!??!!!) Can you believe it?? They weren't married for goodness sake!! But that's how weird some people can be. I've wanted Danica to sing "Morning Has Broken" at my mom's church for ages, but based on how they felt about her singing "Bridge" I wonder if they would ever let her sing a song associated with Cat Stevens, whether he wrote the lyrics or not. I hope so! I hope so, too. And you never know until you try - the goodness in people's hearts can be brought out with a beautiful song like "Morning Has Broken." As Yusuf says, "You can't argue with a good song," and you just might be happily suprised.

I watched the film 'Bewitched' last night with my daughter. The leading man is trying to attract Nicole Kidman's affection and brings her flowers and a Cat Stevens cd. Wasn't sure whether to take this as a compliment for the Cat-the leading man had notoriously bad taste!!! Still always good to spot the Cat.

"'Tea for the Tillerman' by Cat Stevens has always stood out in my head because there are so many messages on that album that I can relate to. I've always loved it. I've got the lyrics tattooed on my arm." -Lee Dewyze: 'American Idol' Top 12's song inspirations I can make out enough to guess these lines: "You will still be here tomorrow but your dreams may not" "Lord, my body has been a good friend But I won’t need it when I reach the end" ...but the rest eludes me. Can anyone figure out the others? ~Sun~

In case you wonder who Lee Dewyze is, here he is on American Idol singing U2's song, "Beautiful Day". (Don't worry that the video is too long - you can hear the whole song by the 3:06 mark.)
Beautiful Day Lyrics Author:U2 Singer: Lee Dewyze
The rose is in bloom, shoots up through the stony ground There is no room, no space to rent in this town You're out of luck and the reason that you had to care The traffic is stuck and you're not movin' anywhere You thought you’d found a friend to take out of this place Someone you could lend a hand in return for grace
It's a beautiful day The sky falls, you feel like A beautiful day Don’t let it get away
So touch me, and take me to that other place Teach me, I know I'm not a hopeless case
See the world in green and blue See China right in front of you See the bird with a leaf in her mouth After the flood all the colours came out
It was a beautiful day A beautiful day
So touch me, and take me to that other place Teach me, I know I'm not a hopeless case
And what you don’t have you don’t need it now What you don’t have you've got to see somehow What you don’t have you don’t need it now Don’t need it now
It was a beautiful day It was a beautiful day

Wow, I had no idea about his tattoo! That's so cool. If I'd known about it, I'd have voted for him a bajillion times. --not that I didn't like his performances, I just don't usually phone in Idol votes. Though I do watch it.

Click on "The Way Forward" in the lefthand bar: www.jpmorganchase.com/corporate/Home/home.htmIt's The Wind! I saw this ad on TV the other day and was just like, "the wind, the wind!" Whoever did this is not only a Cat fan, but seems like a Yoriyos fan, too. Very nice commercial.

Every time I see that commercial it makes me smile! But where do you get the Yoriyos reference? Because, stylistically, the vid looks so much like The Pied Piper! .... the book opening into a cute paper-cutout animation... It's very, very similar.

Aha, I see! Wow, that is really a lovely song and a beautiful video!
And isn't that the same guitar his daddy plays in the Father & Son video?
(yeah, I'm probably missing the obvious here . . . LOL)

LOL) Not the same guitar, that one was stolen...twice! Yoriyos must have one just like it! Did anyone listen to Yoriyos' version of "The End"? Very nice! I have to say I prefer him singing those kinds of songs as opposed to the "head bangin'" stuff! He has a beautiful voice!

Lucy I'm glad I wasn't the only one who saw the similarities in this video, with The Pied Piper video clip. I first saw this commercial on another thread on this board a few weeks ago, and it was the first thing that came to my mind. I'm sure if Yusuf is entitled to some royalties from this commercial, they will be put to good cause.

Father & Son was played today on one of Britain's most popular soap operas, Coronation Street. The song was playing during a funeral for a long-serving character who just died. Cat wasn't mentioned but the name of the song was.

I went for a lovely winter walk in Hyde Park yesterday and ended up at RAH-remembering last year's concert. Can't believe it is nearly a year.

A few days ago a man married his dog... Very silly! On the news report they played 'I love my dog'. It was a great surprise. I love when he comes up unexpectedly.

TV was still on after The Big Bang Theory (I really like Johnny Galecki) and that William Shatner sitcom came on, which I wasn't paying attention to until I heard a Cat Stevens reference! Shatner was apparently scolding his son for fighting with someone and said to him "finally jumped off the peace train, Cat Stevens?"

"Can't Keep It In" was just used in a BBC promo for a sci-fi show. I was about to leave the room when the advertisement started and I thought "I recognise that song!". It's not the sort of programme I'd watch, but it's always good to hear Cat on TV.

As long as they don't start using it for some kind of personal hygiene product or medication, I'll be delighted.
