We are now at £467!
Almost enough for the £500 tile!!
Can we get enough for the £1000 tile?

Hi everyone - we are still at £467. While I do consider myself highly organized, I also believe in validating data (read: I'm a geek.)  Some of you posted your pledges here on this thread and others sent me a PM. To make sure I didn't miss anyone, I would like to post just the names of everyone I have on my list here in this thread. If I missed anyone, that will give the person the opportunity to say so. Do you think that would be ok? |

Okay by me Doodlebug.... how was your weekend with Seth? At the risk of going off-topic - fabulous!! He sang the entire album (it was being recorded for TV) and he picked a beautiful selection of songs for the album. My friend said she would take pictures so I could just enjoy the show - how great is that?! She was snapping like crazy and I still can't believe she didn't get busted for it - we were right up front! |

For comparison, that is about 37,44 EUR or 53.83 USD. So close! I'll go ahead and kick in another £10, so that leaves us £23 to go  |

The banks figure it out for me. Whatever currency people use to pay me will be converted to US dollars when I deposit into my account. I'll complete the tile form for 500 GBP, and use my check card. My bank will figure out how many dollars to deduct to equal 500 GBP when they charge my card.
Modern times, huh? Gotta love 'em!

Sounds good - so you are going to wait for the checks to be mailed from overseas and then clear? Or can they wire you? Or do you have some kind of paypal account. Oh well - whatever you think is good works for me. Shall we start mailing the checks to you now then to give them time to clear, etc.  |

I just sent an email to the email address listed on The Maqam Centre's website. I explained that eleven of us contributed toward the tile and asked what we would be able to have engraved on it. I'll let you know what I hear back.
If we cannot have our individual names on it, we need to decide what we will choose. Please start thinking of ideas while I await a response to my email.
Gathering the £500
1. If you are not seeing me in Germany, my preference would be to use Paypal to send me your pledge amount. My email address is listed in my profile - you can send to that via Paypal.
2. If you will see me in Germany, you can pay me there. I just ask that you convert your pledge to Euros and pay me in Euros.
3. If you are not comfortable using Paypal and will not be in Germany, you can send me a check. Send me a PM and I will give you my address.
However you choose to get your pledge amount to me - please let me know. You can either let me know here on this thread or in a PM.
