One thing worth adding: when this CD first surfaced and many either purchased it (eBay) or got it through other means, many of us felt that it was appropriate to pay some sort of compensation to the artist himself. We did that by making individual donations to Small Kindness. While I treasure this CD, I felt it was only right to direct some compensation Yusuf's way because, after all, it is his music. Please consider this if you decide to enjoy this CD. Great minds think a like Jane ;D. To Be Honest I must admit I don't compensate other artists but when it comes to Yusuf........I have to. Peace! |

That is obviously a personal choice but for me it is a moral issue. It is the work of an artist and they should be paid for it if it is a commercially-viable product.

There is a thread somewhere on this - it is from a bootleg CD called "9 Lives." The CD contains demos of three songs that were never released. I'm sure if you Google "Cat Stevens 9 Lives" you can find a free download. This CD surfaced just a few months before the Remastered "Teaser and the Firecat" and "Tea for the Tillerman" were released - both of which contain a few of these demos. It was undoubtedly someone who worked on that project that bootlegged the CD.  I WANT THE VINYL!!.....  |

Salaam I dont know where else to put this but i think it belongs here  Ok basically i have Google chrome/Google as my homepage for when im on the internet as i guess so do most of you. so i decided to create a google hompepage for fellow majicatters.. All i did was get the image off the web and add the Majicat name to it and i think it looks pretty good. Hope yous like it too All you have to do is have google as your homepage and then select change background image at the bottom left of the screen and type in majicat into the search box and you should see the same image uploaded by me Affy A. I absolutely CANNOT believe that is on his Facebook page. OMG -  it is!! I bet something new will replace it soon! Aww, Man, it took years to adjust to the new Yusuf! What's going on? "Come to my room to make love." ? Yeah ... umm ... maybe he has a really nice room in Doha. ;-> |

Oh, Lord, now I'm really confused. He's in Qatar? Yeah, he's in Doha for today's speaking engagement and also to give a concert (16 Feb ... not yet formally announced .. shhh). |

Whew! My universe is beginning to right itself. It didn't take long for a new story to headline his FB page. O.K. grey Yusuf with glasses - future concert replaces late-night questionable duet from '70s. Believe it over not, my universe has evolved (yes, "evolved," folks!) to include late-night, questionable, gray-haired duets. Not surprised - they have been making pirated materials available for years. It's just too bad for the people who have legitimate content on that site. |
