Novim, here in the US the postal service will allow you to create stamps with any image you want on them.. the catch is they are regular 1st class mail stamps but you pay quite a bit more to have your image printed on them - so the vanity comes at a price!! This is an Australian seller, with $1 postage on the stamp - regular letter postage here is only 44 cents, tho they do make $1 stamps for additional postage too. I bet they got the Cat images right here on Majicat. www.usps.com/send/design-mail-and-postage.htm

Thanks LadyD,
That clears things up. I was someway surprised the the US had Cat stamps and hoped that it was some sort of reconciliation/apology!
All the best,
Chris

Hey M, From what I can figure out, the program you have is one that was generically printed and sold for Cat's concert on March 19, 1974, in Glascow, at the Appollo Centre. These programs were sold as show souvenirs but didn't have the date or location printed on them. This was around the time of the Bamboozle Tour and the programs contained mostly generic information about Cat, his history, and his recordings to date. All this, and the quality of the programs themselves, makes me wonder if they may not have been "unofficial" momentos of this concert. Hope this helps... PS The Appollo Centre was THE place to play in Scotland and known for having an extremely difficult crowd. It has since, sadly, been torn down. I wonder if Yusuf can recall memories of the place, the really high stage, or the audience? Later!

Very interesting - thank you so much, richina Guess you're right... the seller described it as followed: 8 page illustrated bootleg programme published in about 1974, and hawked by a fly by night workforce at venues up and down the country Now I've found this: and this: majicat.com/articles/mm374.htm

Yes girls, the Bamboozle Program IS purple - everybody knows The blue one is from a gig he did shortly before he started Bamboozle Tour. Nobody argued that the blue one is the Bamboozle Tour Program richina wrote "This was around the time of the Bamboozle Tour..."And here ( www.billdeyoung.com/cstimeline.htm ) it's saying "March 19. Bamboozle tour opens in Glasgow."Well, I have this one and not (yet) this one ;D
