so, i've have all the LP,cd's of the Cat -and again the 2000 remasters (1)of the first edition cd -except Number- (1) footsteps in the dark in 2003 along some rare items : daydo -official ?- cd -rdi,retro disc international, spain 2008, remaster but i can say from a vinyl.. 1970 french Decca best of - the original from my parents, listened "on the floor" in 1974 at 7 years old, tracks listing : here comes my wife granny matthew & son here coms my baby lovely city i m gonna get me a gun face 2 : i love my dog kitty the first cut.. a bad night school is out -i love this song- where are you -i didn't like this song at that time..lol (maybe it's a transition betewn the decca years & island/a&m) three number 1545 buy in 97 - you know how many ?-and very surprise with Number for the first time on cd then, apparently there is 2 differents cover, even in vinyl, that depend of the country but here we have not the "photo" like i say, i love english music, i've only 10 french cd for a total of 1500 (ah since 1988 for the first..) and this "45t" of alain bashung -sadly pass away in 2008 i think- who in 1972 sing "du feu dans les veines" an adaptation -not translation- of Change 4 that all's folk's ! (deep end dvd in an bootleg) waiting for official release of that beautifull movie)

Salaam As the Threads name suggests this thread is about the Cat Stevens Memorabilia you have or would love to have. Currently I have the urge to purchase some sort of Catty Memorabilia......But the only thing I can think of purchasing is the hat he wore during the Bannapple Gas music video, I have tried searching it before on eBay but honestly have no idea what kind of hat he wore during the video....other than the fact it was big and yellow . So bassically tell us about any Memorabilia you currently have or would love to have........I really want to purchase something that i can cherish for the rest of my life...... ;D Peace!

My hubby had a similar necklace when we met. He wore it all the time till it finally fell apart. I re-strung it, but it was never quite the same. Alas.

(Required beach wear in California in the 70s, as I recall.) Just two years ago, I took it apart and reused the beads in a funky mixed bead necklace. Love it.

Peacock that's not a bad find but its very similar but the one that he wore during the video looks like a beanie hat with a cap combination.

He's not a vailable anymore? That might depend on how you feel about polygamy.

Looks to me that it just comes down farther in front than the one I found at Sears. More like the gray hat pictured above in this thread, but yellow and a bit fuller in the crown. Maybe someone could *make* one. I'm also willing to consider *making* that kimono if I can find similar fabric. Hm. But not the belt.

He's not a vailable anymore? That might depend on how you feel about polygamy. I understand that *some* Muslims practice polygamy, but probably not our dear Yusuf. I'll bet there are plenty of women willing to convert to Islam should that ever change. Hope I didn't offend anyone - it was meant humorously . . . .

Why would I not be surprised if this photo appeared beside the word "distinguished" in the dictionary? What a wonderful study of Yusuf, Monika... Thanks! Yusuf: The man will always embody the perfect blend of class, dignity, and cool. -Bud

my dear affy,,, I went into an antique store the other day while in the city, It was wall to wall vinyls, I nearly passed out looking at all the albums I have never seen, and I desperetly looked for anything cat,and of course, no lime green boots, no mugs, in fact very little, the owner told me he seldom has cat things to sell, as no one parts with them, there was some posters,,,but very highly priced, but was put on a list for incoming cat memo,, was very cool to see the 2 albums that hendrixs made, one of which was signed, But I did buy a bob dylan photo for my guy, which is pristine, so not all a loss,, so I will keep an eye out for your yoyo, and u look for lime green boots,,deal?? cool,,, peace and love from canada
