Richina, did you see that Yusuf is looking for pictures of fans with their memorabilia on facebook? Guess you'll need a fisheye lense ;D :-) Thx for sharing all your treasures with us! My collection is rather small, but when I've got the time to install my Cat/Yusuf corner/shrine in our new home, you'll get some pictures here. Mine are not to rare to share with friends

Guess I'll have to start taking pictures (notice with an "s") and show Yusie all the stuff I've got....then he'll surely make me the curator of his museum! ;D. Wonder how hubby will feel about me commuting back and forth across the pond? I personally am very proud of being an "S/C/Y encyclopedia"! Just sayin'

Here is my latest aquisition...it's not really memorabilia, but the title of it is "Into White". Here is the artist's description about the choice she made for a monthly art contest with the subject being "5 Random Things":
'Five Random Things" I admit I had to ponder long and hard on it this month (who am I kidding? I have to do that EVERY month). Incorporating five separate, unrelated elements into one painting posed a little bit of a challenge. But of course as longtime readers will know, I always enjoy a challenge -- so when I found myself stumped for good and juicy subject matter (a 'Still Life' grouping might have been the easy(er) route? But no...), I looked for inspiration in my typical fashion: within the musical and literary influences that have resonated with me in my life. The musical ended up winning out this month, when the old song, "Into White", from the album "Tea for the Tillerman", by Cat Stevens, somehow randomly popped into my head. So much visual imagery in that one (definitely at least 5 things, and highly 'random' at that) -- almost too much really, in that I was worried at first about successfully making an appealingly cohesive composition for a painting. I actually rejected the idea several times, while trying to come up with some other, less obtuse, concept. But I simply couldn't get the song out of my mind no matter what I did -- so, in the end I decided not to resist.....
I built my house from barley rice, Green pepper walls and water ice, Tables of paper wood, windows of light, And everything emptying into White.
A simple garden, with acres of sky, A Brown-haired dogmouse If one dropped by, Yellow Delanie would sleep well at night, With everything emptying into White.
A sad Blue eyed drummer rehearses outside, A Black spider dancing on top of his eye, Red legged chicken stands ready to strike, And everything emptying Into White. I thought it was a pretty neat piece of artwork, and the subject matter made it just that much more interesting. Cool huh?

Richina is that catch bull patch rare? I love it! Do you see them from time to time in your hunting? Well Aura says she has several, but this was the first I'd seen for sale. I also have a cloisenne Catch Bull pendant. Glad you like the patch and if I run across another, I'll certainly let you know!

Here's some new "Cat litter" I've been working on for a while. The seller didn't really want to have to ship internationally...but I think all my begging and cajoling must have helped. Martin realized what a fan I was and gave in. Whew, glad these didn't slip away! An extremely rare programme AND flyer for GEORGIE FAME, JULIE FELIX, CAT STEVENS, THE FOURMOST, SOUNDS INCORPORATED at the Saville Theatre, London from the 26th Dec 1966. The programme has 36 pages and is 9" inches by 6" inches. The flyer is 9.5 inches by 6" inches I'm very proud to have both the flyer and program!

Okay Aura, so you love "blowin' in the wind" (who doesn't?)... but what about your need for a certain number of Catch Bull patches?? Were you making a quilt, covering a big hole in your jeans, doing a science project, wallpapering your bathroom, or is it X rated maybe?.... I'm sure it's very interesting, and anyway the suspense is killing me. Do tell! PS--thanks for the smile M.

Hey Everybody! Been a while, but here's my latest acquistion! This is a limited edition "serigraphy" (fancy name for a print) by Canadian artist Antoine Dumas in 1974. It is number 26/100, and signed by the artist!! The title is "La Voix de Son Maitre" (His Master's Voice). I fell in love with it because it reminds me of myself as a teenager!! And yes, I listened to his albums on a record player very similar to the one in the print! PS Guess I better tell hubby what he bought me for our wedding anniversay! Attachments:

Hello all! My name is Kailey and I'm new to the forum. I have been searching desperately for this particular poster: Chris Abrams, who operates the Majicat site, told me to post on the forum and one of my fellow Majicatters may be able to help me find it. If anybody can help me find this, I would appreciate it very much!!!!! If you have any tips or know where I could find one, feel free to private message me. Thank you!

This poster was found in the back of the "Catch Bull at Four" songbook. You can find the book for sale on Ebay, but make sure to ask if the poster is still there...they usually aren't. Most of the time owners of the book don't even realize the poster was ever, or is, there. Good luck in your search...it can be done if you're patient.
