Hey Bob, Thank you for letting me in on your little secret. Then, of course, you would know how to put this little collective diary of memories together. I still think it sounds like a fun project. I hope you can get some good responses. I have not been to London,. But, I would have loved to have gone to any of the British Isles concerts. But, because of the effect of the economy on my finances, it was much wiser not to go. Even though my heart was telling me to go, go, go and not worry.... my brain told me other wise. London has always been a dream of mine.... Not only to see a Yusuf concert, but also to meet many of the wonderful British fans I have known over the years, the majicatters here.... George, who I have spoken to for over 10 years now, Chris... and the land of where I met my very first real knowledgeable fan and who is responsible for me creating Majicat in the first place, but has sadly passed a way some years ago... Keith Balaam. Keith, George, Chris, Yusuf and the majicatters make London seem like the ultimate place to venture to when seeing a Cat/Yusuf concert. If only the NYC concert hadn't fallen through last year..... Good luck, and welcome to Majicat.... Christine

well actually maj...it was lazy, because he didnt play fill my eyes, it was lilywhite. great concert, great audience. and yes someone did shout Allahu Akbar, which was nice to hear. The shows are a real mix of east and west, young and old - I celebrate that and say Allahu Akbar. good job team Yusuf I agree Yoriyos... That is exactly what makes Yusuf and his music so special... he transcends all cultural barriers... He's universal.

Wow, this concert sounded awesome!. I was reading some of the posts on the official site as suggested by Barney. I want to have been there!!! Yusuf you Rock! Oh Very Young, Fill My Eyes, Miles From Nowhere. Sounds like a concert to beat all concerts... I was born on the wrong continent. Thanks for the partial song list, Majid.

Sounds like a superb idea; a book of memories. You know Blurb.com is a good source to use in writing books such as this. (just my little input, although you may like one of the other internet personal book websites better)
Good luck, and let us know how it comes out.

Thanks G-one for the info on the recent changes. It sounds like this concert will run much smoother. But like Jane said, if people had only read the flyer and had a little bit of patience, they would have realised Yusuf would return to the stage and give them the show of their lives.

Thanks Gavin for giving us your incite as to what happen that night. I am just glad you were still able to enjoy the concert.... sad that it had to end up the way it did. And from what Yusuf said, he is looking into matters to see what can be remedied. I hope he returns to Ireland one day, so fans such as yourself and the fans who were patient will be able to enjoy another concert.

You hit it on the nail Nancy. He definately is a class act. It's a shame the disgrunted didn't just get up and leave. Instead of having to slow clap and act out like morons. What a sad things for the young actors to have to experience that on their very first night of performing.
I was happy to read that he is taking this in stride and knows that it was only a few out many who were disruptive. That most of his real fans are 100 % behind him.

Yusuf replied to the many posts on his Stormy Blog.
Dear Mes Amis (My Friends)!
I am overawed by the amount of support and goodwill you’ve all expressed to me through your wonderful comments. Please take it straight from my heart, I am not upset and I understand there are some who have to fulfil the words in my song, Boots & Sand:
It’s a strange strange thing, Whatever songs you have, Some call good, Some call bad…
Life is made up of good and bad, let’s be happy if we all feel it’s good!
Yusuf

Oh Crobarbie, I think you expressed yourself beautifully. I hope they do read your post. Somehow, I think they will.
You have been truly remarkable in your quest for all things 'Dubin 02'. Thank you! And enjoy the concert in London.

Hello all... This is the first time i'm posting here. I was at the concert yesterday with the family, and it was incredible to see Yusuf on stage looking and sounding so great. The audience reaction was really bizarre but with so much Guinness and Carlsberg flying around the place what can we expect. Yusuf was incredible through out, he was shouted out a plenty to perform every song that the bad mannered individuals threw at him and when he didn't, the response was just blatantly rude. If people actually took a moment to be quiet they would have realised that he was actually singing his CS back catalog (14 out of the 22 songs) - but the Dublin crowd didn't give him a chance. To be fair most of the audience were enjoying the concert and were noticeably disturbed by the rants of a few. In the many times i've seen Yusuf perform i've not experienced what I saw last night but I ended up admiring him a lot more after seeing the way in which he carried himself on stage. He was patient with the crowd even though they had no patience. Yusuf is as true as his music and that is what stood out last night, by the Grace of God. I hope the people who were so rude last night have taken time out to reflect on how they behaved. peace majid Thank You Majid for your reflection on the night. It was truly their loss for not giving the man a chance. From where I stand (not seeing any of the concerts, only reading reviews of them. ) This was definitely one of the best, with so many old songs being sung, as well a few new songs to wet everyones appetite. And the added benefit of being given the opportunity to see bits and pieces of the new musical,. What more can a person ask for?!! I really hope that Yusuf doesn't take the bad manners of a few to heart. It sounds like he handled with a light heart. I am sure the other concerts will be much better. Christine

As for the Moonshadow tribute. It looks great. They all look like a talented group of actors and actresses.

Wow, I come on late because of a nasty headache and read this?? From the sound of it, if they didn't know Bad Brakes, then they must have been only a few hits fans. To me, some of Cats/Yusufs best songs were the ones that never made it to the top 40's hit. And he definately sang more Cat songs than from his recent CD's I just find it sad that Yusuf is trying to give us his all, and to be booed is very sad. They should have just been happy to be lucky enough to have been able to attend it. There are many, like myself, who would have given anything to go, but can't afford to fly over seas. Then to hear the boos and walk out is very disturbing. The song list to me sounded very extensive. Actually a great song list! If people would have just calmed down long enough to listen, they would have been given a real treat last night.... Well, I guess it was their loss.... I hope Yusuf doesn't take this to heart.

I totally understand where you are coming from Vivian.... I have no insurance at my work place either.. I have to get individual health ins, or as I call it, CATASTROPHY insurance.... $300.00 a month premiums for a $2500.00 deductable with 20/80 coverage... what a crock of bull!
As for the T-shirts; they may be using a secondary website to sell them. They could be just testing the website out right now. I really wish they had a tee with just a small picture on the front, pocket, with the main picture on the back. I am not big on huge pictures on the front of my Tshirt.

I am not really sure Vivian. I guess you have to make an account first. From there I guess you just sort of edit certain songs to add information. I haven't checked it out thoroughly.

This has been sent by Yoriyos to fans of Cat Stevens. I thought I would place it up here, to see if it is something any of you would like to contribute to. It's all optional. ~~~~~~~~~~~ I thought it would be a good idea for Majicat members (or Cat Stevens fans) to expand on his wikipedia entries. by this i mean, for example, when you click on an album, say Izitso, pages of information should be made for each of the songs, what they are about, if they were released as singles, where they charted etc. a song like Was Dog A Dougnut? was influential to dance music as well as hip hop, that's useful info that should be shared, and i thought it would be a positive exciting project for fans to undertake.
what do you think, can you spread the word?
