Richina, I am speechless. Well, not 'speechless', exactly, I just find that it's next to impossible to talk while I am laughing so hysterically hard! ;D Your guide on everything 'pot knots' is truly one for the ages... you are _too_ funny. If it proves necessary, then I look forward to having the chance to "devise our strategy"... we can't lose, not with your full arsenal of pot knots (and 'pot knotting' technique) at the ready! You are the unchallenged "Master of the Domain" of not only the who's, why's, where's, when's, and the insides and outsides of all the finer points of pot knots, but of comedy writing at its very best. Thank you, that was GREAT! -Bud P.S. - While I was young boy growing up, my mom's "pot knot-inflicting utensil" of choice was the wooden spoon (which, unfortunately, became quite distressed-looking -- you know, kinda smooth -- through the years).

Bud...you gonna make me wonder 'bout you?? Now, Richina... don't get the wrong idea, that's not what I meant. No, I was simply commenting on the quality of Christine's test. I don't even think I know the fella who's pictured there... ... well, on second glance, he does look a bit familiar. ;D -Bud

Thank you so much, Gabi, and "hello" to you in Frankfurt. Well, the program's status is said to be in "post-production", so the wait might not be a long one... let's hope so, anyway! Richina, it sounds as if you're onto something with your speculation (oh, and if the wait does prove to be a lengthy one, can you please rain down a few of your Grandmother's famous 'pot knots' upon those deemed responsible for the delay?). -Bud

Uruguyao, WOW! That is a really detailed bio on the website you gave, how did you ever find that, THANK YOU!! they have a pretty obscure connection to Cat/Alun, but very interesting!! So they're listed as related because of their working with him in 1970 and probably not because of this specific 45/song released in 1975. Actually he used them before he was even working with Alun it looks like, so it's an early early early Cat connection. I've heard of Zeus too in reading about his early days. I didn't think I would ever find an answer to this - Majicatters are the best! Something I say all the time - "Majicatters are the best!" "Here, here", sunspark* and Jane... may I 'third' the motion! -Bud

Sometimes when family matters arise, and you don't have the time to come to this very special place called MAJICAT as much as you would like to, one thing is for sure, you don't have to worry on missing out, because you can always rely on many wonderful people here. Majicats who continue to keep the heart of this site beating with their devotion and enthusiasm. So good to pop in every now and then, to read, and hear your posts on all the great events Yusuf is involved. Thankyou. How perfectly stated, Vicki. One can almost see the nods of affirmation in front of many a computer as we of Majicat read your sentiments. -Bud

You are most welcome, Bud Here is a link to view again... www.charlierose.com/view/interview/10555Although, I get the message "Videos are temporarily unavailable while we migrate servers" Can anyone view it? I can not view it either ...... but there is a little red transcript link - I clicked on that - and read the transcript. Nothing new, really - nothing we haven't all heard before. Same questions as to why, why, why ...... but Yusuf seems (at least from just reading) to be in good spirits. We wait all this time - then still can't "see" it - can only "read" it - LOL - Oh myyyyy Nancy Hi Folks, Well, the video of Yusuf's interview seems to be up and running now (via 'Windows Media Player'). www.charlierose.com/view/interview/10555Click on: "Video can temporarily be seen here". Again, a big "thank you" to Sue for finding us the link. -Bud

I'm sure that English teacher must have definitely been a 'turned on' CAT fan. It won't surprise me if Cat/ Yusuf writings should become a topic of discussion more often in schools today. A lesson we here, would all excell in. Well said, Vicki! And, yes, Sue (in Hollywood), it FINALLY aired last evening! I enjoyed the interview. I guess if I had one misgiving it would be that it ran short (all of 12-14 minutes, I would guess). I bet that a lot of what Yusuf said was left on the program's cutting room floor. For that reason, all is not quite forgiven with Charlie, afterall (okay, the bloom, for the most part, may be back on the 'Rose', but, still, a few petals have fallen). All in all, though, I'm thrilled that it was, at looonnnggg last, broadcast! -Bud

Booooo Hooooo! It only airs on LPB2, which my satillite service doesn't get. I looked in my local paper and there was no mention of the Charlie Rose show tonight! (I spoke too soon earlier) I called the lady at LPB (Margaret) and she said she would send me a dub of the show!! She was really nice and said she became a big fan of Cat Stevens when she was in high school. Her English teacher turned her on to him by using his lyrics as examples in their descriptive writing class! That Cat sure does get around!!! ;D She also said the show could be watched on the CR website, but she wasn't sure how long after the broadcast it would become available...Oh well, guess I have to wait for it to come in the mail. That's okay, I can just add it to my collection!! Works for me!! Awww... that's too bad, Richina, especially considering how long the wait has been for this to finally come off. But time really does fly, and I know that you'll have that treasured copy of the program in your hands before you know it! It was so interesting what you wrote about the woman at the TV station having come to know Cat and his music through her descriptive writing class in high school. That is _exactly_ how I first came to learn about Cat, myself, scant days before the very first time I heard him (singing "Peace Train") over the radio. One day, I noticed a stack of ditto sheets (remember those?) on my English classroom's window counter which listed lyrics to several Cat Stevens songs. It's purpose? To help the teacher teach creative writing! -Bud

Well, Lucy and Richina, if this does, indeed, f-i-n-a-l-l-y happen, I will happily throw open my window and exclaim to the world: "The bloom is back on the Rose... all is forgiven, Charlie!". If not, well... it's "pot knot" city (I loved that, Richina!) for Charlie and PBS. -Bud

Considering that Yusuf's scheduled appearance is actually listed on Charlie Rose's website for the very first time gives me a positive feeling... I really think that it's going to be a 'go' this time. But heed thee well, PBS: if the 'go' turns out to be a 'no go', we all reserve the right to 'have a go' at 'ol Charlie. All of my fingers (not to mention, several of my toes) are (tightly) crossed. -Bud

Thank you all so very much for your replies and for your assistance. One of the (many!) great things about 'Majicat' and about all of you great folks is that when one is looking for an informed answer, it shall be received... and always in the most helpful and friendly manner. One of our fellow-Majicatters has generously and graciously offered to make me a copy of the program. As I have quickly found out since becoming a member of Majicat, this act of great kindness is not the exception, but, rather, very much the norm here. You guys are the best... THE best! ;D Thanks so much again. -Bud
