Yusuf's ''don't be shy'' is featured in another film this year, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (the previous being Michael Moore's Sicko). Here's an excerpt from an interview with the cast. "Bateman: To be truthful, I was a real doubter on that scene from the very, very start. I thought this was a great scene on paper, but I'm one of those annoying guys that ... if something needs to be written down, then I need to spend as much time as it would take to really write it down and then hold it up. I said to Zach, "This scene is going to play at about five minutes if we all write all these things down." Then we worked it all out where in one of them I didn't write it down and just sort of mouthed my answer. That saved a little bit of time. Of course, the cross-cutting, editorially you can truncate a lot of that stuff. And then, let's face it, Cat Stevens is the third character in that scene, and we didn't have that on the shooting day. While we were shooting it I literally said, "We are wasting a half a day on a scene that is never going to be in the movie." I think I kept calling it the "DVD extra morning." Here in Canada, 20th Century Masters is running a commercial promoting their Cat Stevens' best of CD. I saw it on the women's network (obviously surfing through haha) and it's being sold at walmart.

I was watching 'Remember the Titans' the other day and was so pleased to hear 'Peace Train' towards the end of the movie. You probably all know this already but I didn't and it was a lovely surprise:) and it fits the movie perfectly. There was also this list in Borders called 'Top 50 albums of all time as voted by you' and Tea for the Tillerman was number 30... I was really excited and it was extra exciting because it showed that Australians still remember Cat Stevens Yay!!!

Today my daughter and I were watching a series called 'Pushing Daisies' on T.V, and just as it was nearly ending, a lady from the series started singing ' Morning Has Broken'. Even though nobody sings it like he does, and make you float into heaven, it was a nice surprise. CS music in T.V series is becoming quite a common thing lately from reading other posts. Another occasion when I heard a CS song was, on the series 'Nip and Tuck'. I think it was 'Wild World'. It just goes to show how people today can still relate to his music. This should make YI very pleased with himself. He has definitely made his mark in time.

Pushing Daisies hasn't come to Australian shores, but I'm happy to say I've been able to follow the series - it's such a warm-hearted nice show!!! I haven't heard Morning Has Broken yet - I'll be listening out for it now - it's very fitting for the feel of the show tho!

Yesterday my daughter phoned me from Geneva and said, " mum you wont believe it!!!!, we a having coffee in this cafeteria, and they are playing Cat Stevens!!!! ". I forgot to ask her what song. I'll ask her when she gets back. It shows what good taste in music the Swiss have. ;D It doesn't surprise me, I think a new wave is just begining. I think we will be hearing alot of CS/ YI in the new year that is coming. If Sue was still on the board, I'm sure she would be able to give us a prediction on CS/YI for the new year........Miss you Sue!!!.

Last night on TV, 'Telemarketing', was advertising a CD box set called 'Flower Power'. It was a collection of all those wonderful songs of the late sixties and early seventies. Of course CS was on the list. They had 2 very short film clips from the 'Moon and Star' concert, the one were he is wearing that navy blue shirt with the double breasted white buttons. The songs were, 'Wild World' and 'Morning has Broken'. Oh!, those were the days.
