I thought this a little ironic. I loved it, and had to smile to myself. I went to an outdoor outlet mall today, and was waiting outside of a store for my friend who was inside paying for something. While I was sitting waiting, a small train went by, that carried visitors from one side of the mall to the other. After the train passed by, guess what song was playing out of the speakers? Cat Stevens - Peace Train calling for everyone to get on the peace train.

What a good idea for "Peace Train" to be playing on the mall train! Someone is smart at that mall.

Christine, that would have made me smile, too. I'm smiling right now about it. What a great little moment that must have been!

I had just finished watching the video's on Youtube of Yusuf's Concert in Dublin, I was flicking through the channels on the TV, when I came across the show, Life On Mars (USA) the episode was called Tuesday's Dead, when who should I hear was singing "Tuesday's Dead", but Cat, the whole song!!! Quite a coincidence, I thought, as Yusuf, sang this at the concert yesterday!!!

Shopping (again! ) at a crafts store and got to hear Can't Keep It In. Oh! - utterly forgot to mention this - a couple of weeks back I was channel-surfing and landed on an old episode of "Good Times" entitled Thelma's Young Man. Ironically titled, since the plot concerned her budding relationship with an older man - played by Louis Gossett, Jr. But I digress... Thelma and her mom, Florida, were having a conversation while seated on the bed in Thelma's room. When they got up, this was visible among the posters on the wall: ;D -Joanne

I had that exact same poster as a teenager. I had two Cat Stevens posters hanging on my wall. The one you just showed here and the crickling old poster I poster on the Poster page. Believe it or not, I purchased both of them from my high school 'Senior Scholastic' magazine program.

Lovely poster ;D ;D
I watched the Boyzone Tribute recently to Stephen Gately, who sadly passed away last October. Near the end there is a clip of Stephen as he walks away and looks back over his shoulder and the line being sung was "I know I have to go away."

Last Saturday in Germany I was travelling in my friends car and 'Father and Son' came on the radio. My friend regularly travels at that time and says Cat Stevens/Yusuf is always played in that time slot. Yesterday I was at the gym and 'Thinking 'bout you came on'-put a whole different step into my feet!!

I was watching a popular Australian music variety show last week called , Spicks and Specks, and they mentioned the upcoming Yusuf tour downunder and spoke about the song Moonshadow.
I thought it was great just to have one mention of Yusuf on the show but at the end they played the Banapple Gas music video! Haha they kind of teased it, but still it was good to see it played!

Yesterday I watched 'The Invention of Lying' with Ricky Gervais and Jennifer Garner and 30 minutes into it a cover of 'Sitting' by Elvis Costello started playing. The song was the only good bit of the movie.
Today I was in a chemist (Terry White) and Morning Has Broken started to play... I just love when I hear Cat around!

With the "Blue Moon Tour" approaching, Cat/Yusuf fever is quickly spreading. I have a feeling you will be hearing more Cat/Yuusf songs playing as you walk into stores. Come next month, things will really start buzzing everywhere, press, media, tv, radio, just as did 38 years ago.

OK, recently we've had "Sitting" in the movie "The Invention of Lying." Tonight I was watching "Almost Famous" and bam! Right in the middle, "The Wind." Isn't it fun? I already liked the movie, now I like it even more.

Oooooh, cool! I never even thought to look on imdb!
But really, I also wanted to recommend that movie, if you haven't seen it, it's very good. Kind of gives you a glimpse into why our main man might've walked away.

When Peace Train started playing in Remember the Titans it was the best surprise! I was sitting in my room listening to Cat then I went to the living room and that movie was on and a minute after I entered the song started playing... It was lovely! It's towards the end if you haven't watched it and it's an AWESOME movie - I <3 Denzel Washington!

There are still Woolworths??! I forgot to post - I heard "Thinking 'Bout You" in Kohl's a couple weeks ago. I actually don't care for that song very much; it's kind of too sappy-sweet. But it made me smile to hear it anyway.
