Bummer - my husband's family arrived from Trinidad on Friday (spur of the moment plans) (not bummer that they arrived, just bummer about the timing) and I will not be able to get away for the concert.
So, Christina - have a fantastic time tomorrow night. Take pictures if you can - we'd all love to see them.

Hi ,
I just got home from the Noxshi gig at The Mercury Lounge. They were out of this world .. epiphanic... I couldnt sit still for one minute not one minute! I was on my feet moving!!! Their sound and vibrations really envelop you .. and it is a very safe place to travel to !! They were beyond first gear they were in the Stratosphere!!!
Yoriyos is as handsome as ever and his smile when He saw me made me feel so welcomed .. He is so genuine and talented .. He can sing!!! and He plays the "theremin" which I love!!!! I had such an indepth conversation with them that they had 8 minutes till showtime lol.... The conversation was really deep about music and vibrations ... ...I could have talked to them all night .. Hallam is one of the best guitarists I've experienced and I know Denny Dunaway ... the drummer was the best I've experienced next to Conway, and the other bass guitarist was on point ....there were moments on that stage that were just beyond stellar and after talking with them they knew those moments as well and they felt it too and it came across to the audience as well ... that effortless spontaneity they all have fused together . I dropped off a Banana tofu cheesecake that I made ... some spinach tofu quiche cups ,with some greek linden tea, greek chammomile and some Greek Mountain tea<which is so therapeutic for immune systems and singers... the tea was from an area of Greece that my father was from ... Mani /Taygetos....I gave one to Yori and said I brought one for the other singer in your family too ... 
God Bless them ... Noxshi's album comes out on May 8th . I'm looking forward to buying a few to pass out to my nephews and niece .. and friends.
Noxshi is a real tight fusion of sounds that are from so many feelings and time ... I was time traveling and loved it !!! ...
powerful progressive and with a slithering beat that takes you always to the light ...
Loved it!
I'm so impressed with their sound!!!! and what they created and exuded on stage .. I dont think I will sleep for a bit... maybe a bit of chammomile tea for me !! xoxxxoxo
This is their year ... Music indie is ready for their original sound!!! xoxo
Ps. I introduced myself to the lovely Aminah , Yori's sister... She is sooo pretty and graceful .
I've been enjoying her photographic "captures" for sometime now and I was so happy that I had the chance to tell her how much I enjoyed them and that she really captures such a moment with her works/visions .. I mentioned I think she might be ready to do a book!!
What a beautiful night in Nyc .. ~~

suncatcher xooxoox ilovemycat it was an amazing night . I love their music and what they put into it is Love !!! I couldnt stop dancing ... People were even there from Japan just to catch that gig! Alot of record producers too I had the feeling . I wish I could go hear them in LA at the Viper Room~ x

I wish that I could bake you one and bring it to Berlin .. I have a plan ...when Yusuf comes to the states and you all make the trip over then I will bake a very very special one!! xoxoxox Beginning of May the cd will be launched should be able to get it on iTunes .. The songs are amazing ..they were such a tight band.. and in such a happy form ...it waas a great night!!! GREAT!

at times, Yoriyos looks as though he could be Enrique Iglesias' twin. Especially in the first photo Christina took. I'm sure he much more talented though!

I guess what threw me off is that usually I have seen those long flowing shirts without collars. Yoriyos' looks as though he could wear a tie with it. I've never seen one like that before. I enjoyed watching that interview again! |

I'm sorry I didn't see them earlier. I just love looking at them. The long tunic that Yoriyos is wearing is called a thawb (prounounced "thobe", rhymes with "robe"), and also known as a dishdasha! It has a mandarin-type collar, so ties are generally not worn with it. |

both such stunning looking men,cat always brought tears to my eyes he is so handsome, and his son, i think a little rougher looking, cat was rugged and yet soft around the edges, with his choclate brown eyes, but they sure do look alike, anyone seen the daughters? do they look like dad? peace:)
