Okay - reading down the countdown - those that have received - what is it like - do you love it and would you recommend it.
Those ordering Blu-Ray - same "hold" happened with Clapton's Crossroads in Europe - so it shall soon come. Perhaps more technology or something.
Now we'll wait in the USA - but looking for (- zero ) - -1 -2............... Feedback please.
Those outside of Australia looking for release dates - suppose to be early next year worldwide - which would include Belgium Regii.... Once they cut the discs - it becomes a quicker process... - so I'd say 1st quarter... "She's waiting"...............

Well, it would be nice if s271 or somebody else who already have got DVD describe to rest of us what is exactly on it, set list etc., because all those DVD-info are the same with no detailed information.
Tnx in advance :-)

Thank you so much for all the info - can't wait to see it now! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and that we're all lucky enough to be able to share it too.
Thanks again!

Thankyou for the sneak preview s271!!! Don't worry, I don't think you spoilt the surprise for anyone, in fact I think you have made everyone even more anxious. ;D I think it would be hard to satisfy everyone 100%. We all have favourites, but I think Yusuf has covered nearly everyones taste. Great to see they included the CAT MEDLEY, that makes me very happy, AND LILYWHITE, love the newversion, is it the new version? Very nice bonus, THE ENCORES, TUSEDAYS DEAD, always brings the house down, and can't wait to see NOXSHI, didn't get much footage of Yoriyos and his band during the tour. And of course I can't wait to see Yusuf joking around, it makes it all the more personal. For Regines sake, did they show the glasses flying off? ;D Never mind about RUBY LOVE, we will just have to be satifisfied with the small footage from the kind people who shared videos from the tour. PEACE TRAIN, I think we have been well compensated for with many wonderful songs on the dvd, songs that will warm our cold winter nights once more, that is we who live in the northern hemisphere. ;D Thankyou again s271, can't wait to see it.

Well, it has nothing with favourites, or satisfying everyone... but I think that is very strange that "Peace Train", one very amblematic song and Cat Yusuf's direct anthem for peace... is not included??? And it is more intrigating because not only one concert has been recorded during tour, so I can't believe that the reason is maybe due to technical difficulties there was no good recording of "Peace train". Other opinions?

Hey everyone,
Sorry I haven't been online lately- I've been so busy with exams, work etc I haven't had a chance to post, but I've been checking online every second day or so and reading everything with keen interest!
I am pleased to inform you that I will hopefully be picking up my copy of the DVD TOMORROW!!!
I am SO excited!!! I've been reliving all the great youtube clips of the tour and my impatience to see the real thing is almost unbearable. But as they say, good things come to those who wait :-)
Sorry about my tardiness and inconsistent and irregular, contributions to our online family, but I'll have to stay in touch with Yusuf doing so much stuff recently, there's so much we have to talk about!
Oh and BTW- Yusuf was back in Australia??? how awesome is that!! I wonder what the purpose of the visit was? to organise stuff for Moonshadow?? I only wish he'd have done another concert :-D

And it is more intrigating because not only one concert has been recorded during tour, so I can't believe that the reason is maybe due to technical difficulties there was no good recording of "Peace train". Other opinions? I understand your disappointment, and your line of reasoning, but we don't know who selected the songs. It may not have been entirely Yusufs decision, or if it was, maybe it's because Yusuf knows everyone relates PEACE TRAIN with him, it is his signature song, that people don't have to be reminded again, and realizing that people are very aware of the reality that the PEACE TRAIN seems to be no where in sight. It's not sounding louder, you can't even hear a toot toot, shhhh. Maybe he picked his personal favourites from the tour. I would be more dissapointed if the CAT MEDLEY was missing, or FATHER AND SON was missing. We have PEACE TRAIN on the MAJIKAT DVD, and on the PORCHESTER HALL DVD. The title of the new DVD is 'YUSUF,ROADSINGER LIVE IN AUSTRALIA', meaning Yusuf was interested in giving his audience the opportunity to hearing his new work, and of course promote the MOONSHADOW MUSICAL. Anyway, in my opinion, it does not surprise me, and I would not go through trying to analyze why PEACE TRAIN is missing, I just accept their better judgment, for whatever reason. I couldn't be more happier with the fact that very soon I will have the opportunity to see what I missed out on. Overall, I think Yusuf has been very generous with us, and I can't complain. Dear Rechina, like me, you should know by now, you can't have everything in this life, so , and take what you can get, and be satisfied. ;D

For everyone outside of Australia who is waiting for it to be released elsewhere, there is no need to wait. Just order it from Australia. If the disc won't play in your player, just make a copy in your PC and the copy should play just fine. But feel free to wait if you want to...

Without having the DVD yet I can't be sure, but maybe Peace Train is included as an easter egg - a hidden bonus? I do agree it's quite strange that it's missing and it would still be strange to make one of his signature tunes hidden, but perhaps that's the case. There was a hidden performance of Where Do The Children Play? on the Yusuf's Cafe DVD, although that was bonus material anyway.
They can't please all of us all the time, I know I'd prefer the encore performances played as part of the main feature, rather than having to be accessed through another menu. That's just me, but it's the way most of the DVDs I have are and how I prefer to watch. Especially considering two of the encores are always popular concert choices: Moonshadow & Tuesday's Dead.

My DVD plays all regions - I bought it in 2006 - waiting for Yusuf's Cafe - not sure it would be released in the USA. The thing cost me $79.99 - (believe that one?) and I can play any region.... It's come in handy - getting some DVD's from European friends - I don't have any conversion. Many times - the DVD's will NOT play in the computer. We're fighting one now - Jools Holland show with Clapton.... John is on his second hit.

Okay All of it was really cool! It starts off with a black screen and the words Yusuf Roadsinger Live In Concert appear while people are whistling and cheering. Then the audience is shown and the lights go down. The screen opens up, music begins to play and Yusuf walks onto the stage alone in the dark. A spotlight it cast upon him and he begins to play Lilywhite. The crowd cheers loudly... and the concert begins! It lasts for about an hour and 20 mins - without the encores. I can not believe they didn't put Peace Train I was very disappointed. I don't want to say anymore but you would love the Moonshadow bit as much as in the concert... I forgot he was such a joker Oh and there are about ten minutes of rehearsals, which are funny too... Here are some screenshots of the menu... Thank you very very much. I knew this was going to be wonderful - I knew it would be. Everything Yusuf releases is pure perfection - so I am not at all surprised. Perhaps "Peace Train" has become an old standard - with Father and Son taking it's place over the years. I noticed he closes the concerts with it now. I am really looking forward to this -and thank you so much for your write up. Patiently - we shall wait in the US (hopefully first quarter - since we'll need a music fix here) - and it will be coming our way. Many thanks! Yusuf was all we had to look forward to in 2011 - and it's the best of the best......

Other opinions? Today - his "Peace Train Blues" - seem more appropriate...if you think about it. I love the rendition - of course I am a major blues fan - but after 30+ years and no change - of course he'd have the blues - as we all do... Yusuf doesn't make mistakes..........

Thank you so much, s271. This is beautiful - I just love the moodiness of the picture - the orange glow of the streetlights, the wispiness of the clouds beneath the stars, and Yusuf in his brown coat, guitar in hand. Just lovely! Definitely sets the mood for the Moonshadow Musical.

Oooh, how lovely for you! I was wondering if anyone outside Australia had received theirs yet, and here is the answer!
Hope you enjoyed it very, very much (it certainly sounds like you did!) - can't wait to hear more.
I keep looking hopefully at my Postman, hoping that my DVD will arrive too, but so far, no luck!

Hope your meeting finishes early, can't wait to read your post, but as you said you have already seen it twice, that says everything.

OK, the meeting and lunch is done - now it's a pleasure teasing you a bit ;D It is absolutely TERRIFIC!! Yusuf and all the bearded roadsters and a woman of the Moonshadow cast at their best. High quality audio and grandious screens. New arrangements for some well known songs - wow This time the great concept with the moonshadow section in the middle of the show went well and it raises the desire to get more of this - SOON please! Would like to see and hear a bit more of the audience - clapping and singing?! Richina, you won't believe it, even with Tuesday's Dead they all stay seated - just one grey-haired woman dancing And can you imagine our Yusuf singing Reggae (Remember the days of the old schoolyard) and Soul (Doors)? He does - in the Rehearsal footage!! GREAT - my new favorites Can't wait to get home this evening - my spouse comes home late today and I can watch it on the large TV-screen
